Default PS3 Video Display Issue

I just bought a PS3 and updated the firmware to the most recent version. I had a S300 and moved it to another tv. When trying to play a Blu Ray on the PS3, the tv is saying unable to connect and I am not getting any picture. The weird thing is that I can hear the movie through my surround sound and when I try to play a normal dvd everything is working fine.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Are you hooking it up via component? If so, it sounds like the Blue and Green might be reversed. I saw something similar on a rear projection tv a few months back. Let us know how it is setup and we'll do what we can.

example: My setup
PS3>HDMI>Onkyo 605 Receiver
HD Cable PVR>HDMI>605
605>HDMI>Sharp Aquos LC-42D62U

I have the Samsung LNT4661F. It is connected through HDMI and I can see the Playstation menu and a regular dvd on the HDMI/DV2 input, but when putting in a Blu Ray it says unable to connect. I have tried a few different Blu Rays and they all have the same problem.

When the Ps3 was first connected and it did the updated did you have any problems that you can remember.

Also can you play games.

Try and resynch, could be an HDMI handshake issue.
I have a Sharp Aquos and basically everytime I turn the PS3 on, I have to switch modes from AV digital to something else, then back to digital and that seems to sort out the handshake issue.

Um... this might be VERY elementary, but do you have the correct region-coded movies for your PS3?

Also, what does Sony say when you call them?

Before you update the firmware have you played a BD movie.

Second can you go to display settings and disable 1080P/24 and if possible try it again i'm sure this is your problem case.

what is the movie you are trying ,have you tried another one and if possible to use a composite video the yellow plug just to see if a picture can be display through your BD movie playback.
