Default Dr. No - Full Pixel display issue

When i first got my TV i had no idea what full pixel mode was, once i discovered it and realized how much better everything looks while using it, and that its the preferred setting to use on the tv, i have had all my movies play in full pixel mode

however one movie that seems to cause a problem is Dr. No

if i attempt to watch it in full pixel, there is a thin neon green and purple line across the bottom of the screen, everything looks fine in "Normal" mode

why does this movie have that problem?

to be honest, i cant stand normal mode because it cuts out actualy parts of the film, almost like watching a pan and scan version of a movie

anyone else notice this with Dr. No?

I THINK whats happening is that most of your movies' picture borders are just a tad zoomed in to compensate for all different TV screens, but for Dr. No your "full pixel mode" is actually pulling too far back for the borders of the picture (which is why you see that line at the bottom of the screen)...so for that movie you're going to want to use your TV's normal mode.

I noticed the same thing with my TV..I normally have it on size 2 (same as your full pixes mode) so that I get the full picture...but occasionally with some titles, Afro Samurai for example, I end up with a border all around the picture (not aspect bars), in which case I switch to size 1 for an accurate display. hope that helps.

ok thanks for the reply

i dont mind having it in normal mode for those few rare titles that have problems

just was worried something was wrong with my tv

i notice that when watching hd channels via comcast, some channels work ok in full pixel mode, others have weird lines on either top, bottom or sides
