Onkyo 805 remote and the PS3 - Blu-ray Forum

Howdy there. Just wondering if any of you have tried using your Onkyo 805 learning remote to learn the codes from the Nyko PS3 remote with USB dongle? I'm assuming it would work, but would rather not go buy one if someone has already tried and it doesn't work.

it will probably work fine but i prefer the sony brand remote no usb and its bluetooth technology

Yeah, I'd actually prefer the BT one, but I'd kinda like to have only one remote for once in my life! Our satellite remotes work through walls and I've gotten used to lazily not pointing the remote anywhere specific! I may just keep the BT one in the long run!

so, am I reading this right...

You can get a dongle for the PS3? Is it an IR sensor..meaning I can program my Harmony?
