The Marine - John Cena - Blu-ray Forum

My friends have been raving about The Marine. And i had no idea what they were talking about...and the truth of the matter is that i dont even know who John Cena is...anyhow, it's coming out in BD soon....just wondering if i should give this a buy?

well john cena's my man and i've been watching him in the wwe since i started watching it again when he beat rhyno in the wash your mouth out with soap contest 3 years ago. hes the man. hes the man. hes the man. BUT, you have to be a john cena fan to like the movie and enjoy because the movie itself isnt well acted or well scripted but all of my friends and myself that love john cena (you either dont know who he is or you love him) enjoyed the movie but the people that dont know of john cena will probably not like this movie. if you have a nice sound system then you should think about giving this movie a buy because there are many huge explosions. with that said, i think you should tune in to RAW this thursday (special night) at 9 p.m. eastern and watch cena and also buy the marine!

"The Marine" is a testosterone-filled movie, so I like it.

I'm tired of sissified heroes anyway.

One of the worst action movies of the year (and I love action movies). With the worst actor I have seen since I don't know, maybe ever. Read a review here:

This is a one time rental at best and for one reason only:

Robert Patrick (T-1000) as the villian.

John Cena makes The Rock look like Laurence Olivier in terms of acting and talent. 'Nuff said.

From wathcing him for many years on WWE whenever I see him in a movie it's hard to get past that. I did think he was good in Grid Iron Gang though.

in honesty, after seeing some films like walking tall and the rundown, i knew at the very least vin diesel was out of a job. then after a film like gridiron gang, i started really believing he can do more than just be some a$$ kicker.

I agree. I'm also coming off of having watched him in WWE.

And I'm not even a Diesel hater, either. He's got his place and niche.

We don't have Arnolds anymore. No Stallones. No Van Dammes, no Dolph Lundgrens...so why not see guys like these step up? The Rock obviously has.

to make all you feel old, i was watching him at hooters with my friends on thursday nights back in high school (a tradition we started my junior year). so seeing him on film was different but i got past it quick.

i agree, this new crop of "big men" are starting to step up, i just think that the rock is more dynamic than the rest.

I agree. Dwayne Johnson is showing more promise as an actor than Schwarzenneger did at the same stage in his career. He's been more versatile in his selection of roles as well, but it's hard not to overlook the similarities in their careers, types of films, type of roles. Arnold had more success with overall better films, but Johnson has outperformed him I think. I loved the passing of the torch scene in The Rundown.

Agreed 100 percent.

Also: That passing of the torch scene in Rundown was unexpected for me since I hadn't read spoilers or anything, so when I saw that I involuntarily whooped out loud and replayed it about 6 more times.

That was a special moment.
