It doesn't come out for a few more weeks. I'm planning on ordering all three BD releases Echo Bridge has coming out even though there's no BD for The Prophecy 2. The double feature of 4 & 5 is $8 at Best Buy.com.

I'm tempted to take a chance (it's 11 dollars at the deepdiscount sale atm). But I will wait...

$13 at Best Buy. Target.com has cover arts for both The Prophecy and The Prophecy 4 & 5. They list the first film on Blu-ray as OOS and pre-order price for the double is $13. I am just going to order all three releases at once.

The hdtv versions are in 2.39:1 (IFC, and HDNet Movies both showing it as such), and Echo Bridge usually uses them, so I'd assume the disk will be the same.

If any of you buy the blu-ray, please post what the aspect ratio is as soon as you get a chance. The Amazon listing says 1.33:1 which had better be a mistake. Even Echo Bridge's page doesn't say what it is. It's a big mystery.

Yeah, I'm not buying this until I see the aspect ratio. I don't care if it's 1080i with lossy audio, so long as the OAR is preserved.

Echo Bridge has this listed as 1.78:1.

It was shot Super 35 according to IMDb so a little cropping on the sides and exposing above and below of the composed for aspect ratio. But, what is intended composition as long as it comes cheap and fills the screen.

Well, Echo Bridge lists everything in 1.78:1 even though some were in 2.35:1 like Twin Dragons. I wouldn't get bent out of shape over it until you get it in hand. I am contemplating ordering it off Target.com since it's $9.89 each for the first and third film. Best Buy's website has the double feature with the fourth and fifth films for $7.99.

it's listed here on bluray.com as 2.35:1, so hopefully it will be OAR, open matte is awful.
the coverart for the bluray is actually quite nice, can't believe i'm saying this about an echo bridge release

The database listing only states what the OAR is, not the AR of the forthcoming BD. We won't know for sure until we have a review or anyone gets a early delivery of their copy.

Well, if it's not OAR, I would rather take Open Matted than Cropped.

Don't expect jack from the 4th and 5th film. These were made like five years after the third film to just cash in on the series. And they're both short as hell. I think both of those films were 75 minutes each.

Well, they're Dimension Home Video releases so that shows how good it is. They hardly ever make good movies. :P LOLOL. I'll just watch the first three.
