Problem with my SAW IV copy - Blu-ray Forum

i just picked up SAW IV at lunch and i get back to work and open it and look at the bottom of the disc and it is COVERED in fingerprints and smudges... almost like it was a used disc. I took a micro fiber cloth and wiped it down and it looks better but right by the center hole there is smudging that wont come off.

I haven't had the chance to see if this will effect playback but this really pisses me off, this is a BRAND NEW BD it was sealed and everything... shouldn't the disc be FLAWLESS? NOW if this does in fact hinder playback... would wal*mart exchange it for the same movie even though its already opened? I still have the receipt.

WalMart I think has a policy that states that they will not refund you the money if it is open but they might exchange the item for another identical one. I would exchange it regardless of playback issues. Go right after work and tell them to exchange it because yours has smudges that are not supposed to be there. If they don't let you ask to see a manager and get really angry threatening to never buy there again if they do not let you exchange it....yea that should do it...tel them youll go to Best buy and use their Price Match....

at my local walmart i have returned 5 opened dvds for money without a hustle ,and one time my brother and cousin each bought one movie and the next day they went back to walmart with their opened dvds and got their money back and this was at another walmart.

Go back and get another one. I would go nuts if my disc has the slightest smudge.

Holy cow. So I work at target as a protection specialist. I always work on Tuesdays, so that I can pick up the new movies. I get Saw 4 and I had the exact same problem

. I thought it was just one bad disc that got into the shipment. I returned it 3 minutes later and it was sold out. So on my lunch I went to Walmart and picked it up. That is really weird. I mean mine was gross looking on the bottom. I hope that wasn't some kind of disease or something.

mine has the circular smudge ring around the center but it does not effect playback. it is like the machine that made the disk left the mark on it.

I'm fine with mine though

Crazy...I got one from Netflix in better shape than yours.

I say exchange it, no need to deal with it anymore after that. Open your new one on the premises,

No problems with my disc. Just purchased it today from ccity and watched it earlier.

harder to do if you bought from an online site like amazon or frys.com, if it had playback problems i would send it back for another one but mine plays perfectly so i will live with a little problem like this.
