Just make sure were ever you put the ps3 has a fan or is has good air flow because it puts out a lot of heat.

You're going to have to give more details on what you want to do. Are you putting a system in? Is it going to be custom, or just box, amp laying in the back? Are you asking what you need to do the install or just ideas on how to lay it out?

Just ideas on how to lay it out. What would be a good way to semi-permanetly install it. The cords would plug right into each tv (rca jack).

H3's are pieces of shit, I highly recommend you save your money and get something else. Trust me, I bought one.

Well if it were me (I hate seeing wires), I would install the PS3 in the cargo area, along with the Inverter (At least 250W for a 40GB). Run the RCA cable in the seats, and have the connector come out by the headrest post. Are you doing the install yourself? A 250W inverter @ 12V DC will pull almost 21 amps. You are going to have to run at least a 6GA wire from the battery.

Also, make sure it's not visible from the outside as that will make your H3 a very tempting target....

Personally I'd wait for the PSThree before I'd try to put a PS3 on a car, it'll be smaller and have 45nm chips (therefore dissipating less heat), but as someone else said, if you wanna do it now, make sure that air flow can run smoothly. The PS3 is pretty heat efficient, but you don't wanna take any chances.

i honestly hope they dont make it smaller. It'll make it look like a cheap piece of crap. I like its size now

Is it a 2008 because I heard they made a lot of improvements. The test drive was pretty decent.

Unless you get the H3 Alpha, or plan on going in extreme offroad conditions frequently I'd go with a standard SUV(Chevy Tahoe, Honda Pilot, ect.) Not to turn this discussion into a car debate, but I just thought I'd give you a heads up on how I felt because I'm very displeased with my H3. The 3.7 liter I-5 H3 is severely underpowered, I have 16,000 miles on mine and the entire head had to be replaced(as do many of them, check out http://www.elcovaforums.com/forums/f...splay.php?f=23 a very good HUMMER site, many people now pissed at GM for the lack of quality on the H3, and these were die-hard American car loving HUMMER fans a year or tow ago).

Check out the storage up front, two drink holders, and a hard to reach while driving armrest cubby. No over-head sunglass holder, no random easy to reach storage areas for your cell phone, gum, ect. Nope, two cup holders, that's it, my tiny ass 1999 Nissan Sentra has more storage up front than that and this is a damn HUMMER! The backseats in the H3 are horrible, they're very firm and uncomfortable, poorly angled straight up like a trucks back seat, and the seat bottoms are short and you slide off of them, terrible for road trips, and they don't even fold flat. I bought a 42" Panny plasma a few months ago, and I couldn't even fit it in the back because the damn seats don't fold falt in a HUMMER SUV, and you can't put a plasma TV sideways, I had to pay to have it delivered even though you would think a HUMMER could fit it.

The tech offerings are non-exsistant for a $28,000-$38,000 vehicle. No model offers an aux input jack for iPods/mp3 players, which is pretty much standard in even most economy cars at this point. There's not bluetooth support. I have the upgraded Monsoon audio system, and it barely plays my mp3 cds half the time, and all the radio buttons wore off from black to white, and I had to have the stereo replaced twice because of this. The upgraded audio system is very expensive, and is extremely cheap overall, including the display. The value on H3s get nearly cut in half the second you drive it off the lot. I tried to trade mine in a few times, and was offered $18,000-$21,000) for a 2007 H3 that I paid $31,000(sticker price $38,000) I took it to Toyota, Honda, and Chevy.... all the dealers said the same thing it would rot in their lot, no one wants the H3. They have a bad rep for being low quality, tough/cool looking but not practical. Poor gas mileage, rough ride, poor tech features and comfort don't fly.

I bought it because I thought it looked really cool, and I still l do. After a year of driving to work, driving on a few road trips, I can tell you I wish I would have got a Tahoe, 4Runner/Highlander, or a Honda Pilot. Maybe it will work out better for you and your needs, but I highly recommend you check out that site read up on the expierences of others, and test driver a few more vehicles before you buy.
