i was looking at this one. any comments? is it good for $350.00

I own a 787 and love it. I have sold denon in the past and know many people that have owned them and no one will complain. Don't worry if you think the wattage is too small the Denon will be just fine as long as you are not in a large room. Just make sure you have some good speakers to compliment it, and the price is fine.

I got the Denon 588 for Boxing day (Canada's version of Black Friday) for $300 CAD, regular price was $500. So for $350, it's a good non-holiday price.

It is small wattage, but I'll never be the type to blast out the tunes. I got it because of the Denon name and for it's price at the time.

The 588 cannot do audio over HDMI, so beware if you plan on running Blu-ray via HDMI.

I'm a big Denon fan. You've got to step up to the 788 for full HDMI 1.3a support and the 988 for all the latest audio options. (TrueHD and dts Master Audio decoding)
