I was trying something last night.........
My wife missed the episode of LOST and wanted to watch it online at abc.com. So, I turned on my PS3 (wireless internet connection) and used the browser to go to abc.com. If found LOST, but the episode would not play saying I needed the latest update of Abode Flash Player. I tried downloading several versions....even put in a flash drive on the USB port (have a 40gb model)...it downloaded to the flash drive, but I could not access it (seems like the flash drive could only be recognized for photos, music or videos). 1. Is there a way to do what I'm trying to do? 2. Can you install Abode Flash Player on the PS3? How? What verison (windows, linux, etc.)? My wife would be really impressed if there was a way to do this ![]() |

It would be nice if this update was done with every firmware upgrade sent out. This would really add greater functionality to the PS3.
I mean, why even embed an old verion (7.0) if you're not going to continue to upgrade....it's useless....doesn't make sense. |

I agree, it really irritates me that the PS3 doesn't keep these plug ins up to date

If that would be possible I would be watching gametrailers on my TV/PS3 exclusively from now on

You can use a media server program like TVersity (which I am a big proponent of):
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...light=TVersity You can add the urls of videos on the web, these videos will now be accessible by your ps3 via the media server. Here is their faq: http://tversity.com/support/faq/ |

Just a reminder, it's Adobe not Sony that needs to be keeping updated plugins for their product, they are the ones we need harass about this. If they are going to ignore an install base of 10 mill that is estimated to also grow at a 10 mil/per yr rate then they deserve to lose market share to dare I say MS which would be quite ironic if you think about it.
