Default Official Super Bowl 42 Ads Thread

Just saw a Blu-Ray ad during the FOX countdown and when the commercials were over, it said the ENTIRE countdown is sponsered by Verizon and.... wait for it.... HDTV & BLU-RAY THE FUTURE IS BLU
We should be bombarded with Blu-Ray ads for the next 6 hours

So much for that measily punny 30 second loser HD DUD ad later tonight

Saw the Peyton and Eli Oreo double lick league commercial... funny stuff...especially when Archie Manning (Peyton and Eli's dad) is shaking his head in dissaproval with his hand over his face

This is a far better strategy than 1 commercial during the game.

I really hope someone sticks the DUD ad on Youtube, I'm in the UK so I'll miss it. I want to laugh at their patheticness.

Hopefully the HD DVD commercial will be shown in the last quarter. Hoping for a HUGE blowout (dosen't matter to me who wins or loses), so by the time the HD DVD commercial is show most of the audience will have moved on to the partying.

i just saw an hd dvd commercial. im not sure if they've aired this commercial before or not, but it had something to do with watching the superbowl in hd, then after the superbowl they didnt have anything to do ... except .... WATCH MOVIES IN HD ON A TOSHIBA HD DVD PLAYER!

haha. it made me giggle a little. meager attempts at saving their format.

anyways, im not sure if this commercial had already been talked about or if its brand new. but yeah. sad. very, very sad.

Would love to see a Blu Ray commercial where some HD DVD nerd is bragging about his Toshiba HD DVD player. A group of Blu Ray bullies come up behind him, pull his pants down, push him over, and kick him in the nuts.

So they are pretty much saying that if you buy a box set for a couple of hundred dollars, an even cheaper player, you get a craptastic Phaser remote control? Now THAT is pathetic. I wonder if this is the BIG announcement they will make.

I'm sure some HD-Dead fanboy will proudly post it on Youtube saying, "This is the day HD-DVD turned it around".

I was referring to the video.

The video says, after the superbowl, you will have nothing to do. get a HD DVD player! No mention of price.

the video on hd dvd site doesnt say price, but the commercial on tv had a quick excerpt on prices starting at 149.99 at the end of the ad.
