Default SAMSUNG "Ultra-Thin" HDTV prototypes!!!

Here is a short video clip I shot at CES of the hopefully, soon to be released Ultra-Thin LCD models. As you'll hear, I had to get a PR person to walk me through with my camera as video wasn't allowed. These are simply mind-blowing!!! The video doesnt do them justice, but it's nice to see whats on the horizon for 2008.

Definitely cool. I hope no one that gets them ever needs a firmware update for it. They will never see it.

Not sure why 1" thick would be any better than 3" thick for something like a 52" TV. They will both basically appear the same on the wall once you hook it up to mounting hardware that allows tilting, etc.

1 inch thick? The Pioneer plasma was only 8mm thick.

If it is OLED it will make a huge difference. Organic LED only lights up when electricity is applied to the pixel, vs the backlit LCD. The result is much better contrast and blacker blacks.

Not to mention it is the thickness of a picture, weighs less, less power consumption, long life...etc.
