Default "Thin Red Line" coming to Blu?

Anyone heard anything about this title coming to Blu in the near future?

One of my altime favourite movies and I think it might shine on Blu. It's a FOX title from what I have found out already.

This hasn't been mentioned anywhere, as far as I know.

But any Terrence Malick film on Blu-ray will be a cause for celebration. Even better -- I keep my fingers crossed for a longer cut of the film, or at least some of the deleted scenes included as a bonus.

The standard DVD transfer was terrible.

Yeah... but that DTS track was awesome!

I'd love to see this on Blu (even just for Zimmer's score) but I'd also love to see the full 6 hour long cut...

Unfortunately it'll be a long time before we see Thin Red Line, or any Malick, on Blu-ray.
The market is just way too small to justify a release.

It would look & sound incredible (if done properly) on Blu though.

The New World would be my top choice for Malick on Blu.

It's too bad Days of Heaven isn't really do-able though, being Paramount.

The DTS track on the Thin Red Line is crazy! I can't even imagine how the HD-MA track would sound.

This would be a great disc for Fox to release. I have it on DVD and saw it in theaters... it wasn't as successful as Private Ryan, obviously, but the visuals in that movie are outstanding! High def would really do it justice.

Malik's Thin Red Line is one of the most profound of all war films IMO.
Would buy it in an instant.

Longer? LONGER??

I fell asleep the first time I watched this film in it's theatrical length. I don't think it needs to be LONGER!

Translation: I'm glad you appreciate this film, but I was bored immensely and will be skipping it on Blu. I did not comprehend the attraction and thus I apologize.

I've noticed over the years that people seem really polarized over this film; they love it or think it's the worst piece of dreck ever made. I think it would be a fine addition to the blu repertoire. Film opinions aside, the visuals and the soundtrack are enough to warrant a release.

Absolutely! Instead of making it some sort of action film, it's more poetic and reflects the emotions of what's going on.

Yes, but it was marketed as an action flick like Saving Private Ryan with an all-star cast.

I was polarized over it too, but in the end I found it interesting, focusing more on the emotional state of the troops rather than on their physical state.

A bit long though, but I would buy it on Blu.

The New World would look stunning on Blu. I saw it in theater and enjoyed it quite a bit, but I don't want to buy the DVD since it's cut down from the original length. What a load of crap.
