Default What would you change/alter in retail stores?

So this question may be coming out of left field but I thought I'd put it out there anyway. My company has started soliciting ideas from its associates on how to change things within the retail store.

So what say you?

And for this instance I'm talking primarily in regards to the gaming/dvd/cd area.

Some examples could be.....

Expanding the BluRay sections in all stores, adding extra special endcaps to display the films, etc.

Carry a wider variety of products and hotter promotions.

Stock British comedy tv shows on dvd.

Or, heck we could invent something completely new. Or carry a product line we've never carried before.

Anyone have some solid ideas? Some things they'd like to see incorporated into the store?

And please, no 100 responses that just say "lower prices." Think a little outside of the box.

I will do my part and try and get the information passed onto the appropriate people.

Raise prices?

(I don't know. That's probably a bad idea. I guess it's back in the box for me.)

Lower Prices! x100

There, took care of that. Now with that out of the way - knowledgeable salesmen...women...animals...salesthings.

Train your workers in their respective fields of work - I am tired of knowing more than the Best Buy reps who work in the Movie/TV/Audio section, and I don't know enough as it is. Frustrating! Teach them their ish.

I 110% AGREE with that! I am also tired of knowing more than the employees... It sickens me when blu-ray loses a sale cause a worker at walmart did not know that difference between hddvd or blu-ray... the last time i saw this, i had to step in and sold a PS3 to someone who just got a brand new HDTV and wanted HD movies.... with PROPER TRAINING in the PROPER FIELD... thats how you sell your stuff...
