Default Retail Stores Need To Tighten Up

I'm getting frustrated that on release dates some titles are hard to find like one or two copies or the retailer doesn't even get the titles at all. Most recently Man On Fire and Sunshine cannot find them at 5 stores including BB, CC, Target, and Wally World... Anyway, I want retailers to get on the ball so we can purchase the Blu-ray titles we want on the release day...

Yea I agree. I was just posting in another thread how I cant find certain titles in stores.

My BB has a shitload of Wars too and even more Rush Hour 3's. Someone is overrating the Jackie Chan and Jet Li fan base!

Well I went to Walmart today and they had about 10-12 copies of 3:10 to Yuma, about 3 of The Rock and the same for Con Air. Needless to say I bought all three on the spot. If they had Man on Fire I would have gotten that one too.

I do understand what you mean though. It's just plain weak when a store only get 2 copies of a movie on BD. I have started to notice thoguh that both Walmart and Futureshop in my city have started to bring in more of the new release titles. It's nice to see.

I work for Target and I still buy mine through Amazon, they are cheaper and I don't have to hunt them down. Plus since the store I work at is a low volume store we don't always get a lot of anything unless it's a major release like the HP movies.

Ditto. BB only had 3:10 and 2 copies of Dragon Wars on Tuesday at 12 noon. Nothing else that was scheduled for release that day. They said they only received 2 copies of Sunshine, which was gone when I arrived. 3:10 was amazing by the way!

Yeah no luck for me at BB today either.....the only reason i would buy from them is to sue the $20 off deal. They have the rock, con air and yuma, but no sunshine or man on fire....well i got con air early last week so I need 1 more to get the the $20....the other i will pick up from a different place for 5-7 cheaper than what BB sells it for. I can hold off til the 14th and see if they get the gameplan in and maybe get that.....who knows

When I go to work tomorrow to pick up my check I will see if we have Con Air or The Rock. With them being 18.96 plus my discount and the $5.00 Disney coupon I should save quite a bit. The Fry's behind the Wal Mart I work at is usually where I go to get BD's, they have a pretty decent stock.

I went to BB this evening to buy 3:10 to Yuma and Sunshine. They had a few left of 3:10 but no Sunshine. I had the clerk check their inventory and according to the computer they only had 6 copy's to begin with and those sold out. It's the smaller BB that's close to me hopefully the larger stores stock more. This is unusual because they used to have promotional displays of the new releases with plenty of stock. Not sure if it's just an after Christmas thing or not. Also two of the guys working there told me Paramont went to exclusive Blue-Ray today dropping HD-DEAD. I rushed home and checked on here but don't see a comfirmation of that by Paramont posted on here so they must have heard one of the many rumors that abound since Warners switch to exclusive blue.
