He also asked why and was told there was not enough space for both extras and a HD audio track. Transformers is in its own league when it comes to audio even on DVD, I can only imagine what it could sound with true HD audio.. I'd probably had to change my underwear couple of times when watching it.

This was a 'maybe' for me but combo disc + average pq/aq + dead format = I'll wait for the Blu-ray.

It's looking more and more that Bourne Ultimatum will have been the last HD DVD I ever bought, barring a $2.99 firesale.

The HD DVD has no feature-length documentary, and it costs $10 ($7 street) more than the DVD, for an HD DVD side that, if you don't have an HD DVD player by now, won't probably get played ever.

Yeah, why would anyone pay more for something they will never use and is stupidly made in a format making it more fragile.

Consumers hate flippers of any type. I more than hate them.

And add to the fact that wait 3 months and the DVD will be pretty well half price again (at least that is how it goes in Australia)

I agree with Universal...give HDDVD crappy transfers along with audio just to fulfill there terms with the HDDVD group and then later release it back on Blu with new transfers.
