Well true and while it may be part of that fantasy hot chicks don't just throw themselves at geeks like that, it wasn't a very long movie they coulda thrown in some sorta subplot that gave a reason why she might be attracted to him or have him grow a pair and make a move on her.

Oh now that's just old man talk. There is most likely the same % of drunk horny sluts now-a-days as there was in yours and mines time. Enough for the jocks to get their pieces and none for the geeks. The funny thing is if you watch the extras the "actress" says she didn't want to just play the hot girl and she added in things in her performance to show she was a tomboy. I didn't see that at all and thought she pretty much just played the hot girl. i think I got more laughs out of that then anything in the movie itself.

Finally caught this and I really enjoyed it. I think people are expecting this to be a typical movie, you know with a plot and typical "beats".

It's not, it's basically a re-creation of a party that people dream of (hey, nice tagline!). I didn't like Costa either in the beginning, but when the movie shifted its focus 100% to the party, it's a blast.

I've already put a down payment on a bounce house and flame throwers for my next party

I'm with you on that one! I think that may be the only think keeping me from a re-watch. He was annoying as hell and I just wanted to reach through the screen and strangle the little b*tch.

What I mean is, I wanted to laugh. What I'm saying is, even though The Hangover may not be a "good movie", it still makes people laugh. Out loud. Ace Ventura isnt technically a good movie, but it makes people laugh.

Project X didnt make the majority of people laugh. At all.

Movie was exactly what I expected.

If you have could the most amazing party ever without any real repercussions what would it look like. Then times it by 10.

It was great for what it was, soundtrack was also really good. It's not really funny, has some funny moments. Annoying "queen's"guy is just that, annoying.

Pick it up when it drops to 10-12$. Maybe.

oh i knew whre you were going with it.. its just the Hangover didn't make me laugh at all.. i actually think i laughed once during the whole movie.. Ace Ventura is hilarious though! nothing beats comedies pre 2000.. I can take movies for what they are, and enjoy them for what they are.. Project X just should have been direct to video.. just very very bad

The Hangover is vastly overrated, that's all I am saying...haven't even seen the sequel as its basically the same movie...

I bought this from amazon, and I buy films for the films, features aside, but I am still kinda peeved it had 3 featurettes only averaging 5 min each.

I actually was pleasantly surprised with this film.

I didn't have any high hopes going into the movie, but I find it quite enjoyable from the start to the end.

Yup.
I watched it with a bunch of people and it made no impact on any of us.
Perhaps it's because we're all in our 30s, but still, funny should be funny and fun should be fun, and this was neither. Very forgetful film

Its only been a month since I watched it and already I forgot who's in it, what the characters are like...etc.

This 41 year-old guy liked Project X alright. Not enough for it to merit a Blu-ray purchase, but it was a solid fun flick to see once.

I did not think that this was the moral apocalypse that many have made it out to be. The kids are faced with consequences for their actions in the film, unlike characters in certain other movies (Risky Business, for example), so we at least have some semblance of accountability. Most of all, though, it was fun to watch the situation spiral into chaos while living vicariously through the characters. That's what these types of movies are all about.

Plus, "Heads Will Roll" by Yeah Yeah Yeahs is a great song.

A critic on metacritc said it best "A party disaster movie targeted at kids who find the Hangover franchise too sophisticated." I thought this movie was way too corny and obnoxious.
