Not to sound bias, but I back Blu Generation on this totally.
Some of you folks here are putting down the PS3 for the same problem that the 360 had when it first came out. It had no games that were blockbuster hits. Gears didn't come out til the end of the year and dead rising isnt a block buster hit, if it is, then we got Ratchet and Clank, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted which are pretty much all high budget games. You might not like it or it might not be blockbuster hits, but they're still high budget games. Only real high budget game that came out for 360 on its first year was Gears.
Basically its hit or miss. Maybe PS3 will have a lot of misses, but at least they're coming out with more high budget games but at least we know its trying to make the system better.

In comparison, the PS3 actually had better games come out in their first year than the 360 did. Ok maybe this is an "opinion" but thats the same thing some of you pro xbox guys are saying right now also. Seems to me that when PS3 owners say they honestly enjoy their ps3 for the games, they're automatically liars of some sort, while xbox guys saying they love it is a validated truth. Please....this has become a growing trend. I fear that even after all the 08 games come out, everyones going to still say "PS3 has no games". Truth is....there's nothing I'd want on the 360 that isnt already on the PC. Maybe I shouldn't have said that, because now I'm probably going to be labeled a liar for stating an opinon right?

The only way I can understand the argument that the 360 has better games is if you play nothing but shooters. If that's your thing, great, enjoy your 360. Just don't try to convince me that your console is better, because I personally prefer a larger genre of games, and I love my PS3 to death.

I pick the ps3 as my preferred movie console.....As for games, most games
now come out on both, so i read the reviews before hand and choose
accordingly.....As for exclusives, until MGS, nothing to good for the ps3
anywhere near Gears and Halo, or Bioshock....

But hopefully in June if/when we get Metal Gear that will change..

I prefer Uncharted: Drake's Fortune to Gears of War and Viva Piñata to Ratchet & Clank Future. I'm not going to go into a 360 forum and keep bringing up that I prefer Uncharted or the PS3's back catalog and future lineup of games because it pisses people off.

resistance was very if not better then gears of war!! sorry sith, also resistance was a LAUNCH game, it took the shitbox a year and a half to come out with a good shooter, and the PS3 did it on launch!!!

last time i heard you can play thoses games online with the shitbox contoroller and has the same online. sorry not going to pay for a brick that does the same thing my PC does but more on the PC . you need to stop bashing the ps3, goto an shitbox site an talk about the shitbox. other then that expect blu gen and I to defend the system, along with a lot of people here including the mods. its good you like the blu ray, but don't come in here with your fancy shitbox tactics. lots of hugs and kisses sithy

Well I love shooters. RFOM, Warhawk and UT III are all incredible shooters. They all have longer, rich and diverse gameplay with superb graphics and draw distances the 360 can only dream about. 7.1 lossless sound will never happen on the 360.

Shooters on-line xp
As far as shooters on-line it isn't even a contest in the PS3's favour. Dedicated servers, double to quadruple the number of players, keyboard and mouse support, user mods for endless variety and free content, richer wider choice of headsets. Use the superb Playstation Eye if a headset is uncomfortable/tiring...which is my preference. And it's free .. allowing multiple accounts per user as well. Free.

Everyone should have the chance to xp a small map in Warhawk with 32-players - just nothing else as intense on a console. Well until RFOM 2 with 60-players and up to 8 man squads arrives

Sadly I don't see the 360 ever getting over 20 players - it's been 6 or 7 years now and 16 to 18 seems to max out the 360. Wasn't the "premiere" shooter Gears only 8 players? Pretty sad in comparison to PS3 exclusive shooters. 8 player or 60 player variety - umm let me think which is better and offers more variety with rock solid dedicated servers.

Poor man's on-line that ironically costs money.
You know I'm not sure why Live costs money for gamers in the first place .. when MS don't spend it on the infrastructure that would make gamers xp better for something that's currently worse than PSN. I guess they are taking gamers money and spending it on their movie download servers instead. More money for them by having Gold members pay for it. The key reason to pay for Gold membership is on-line gameplay I believe. Barnum was right I guess.

The 360 on-line gameplay really is anemic in comparison to PSN. They need to spend some of that money they are collecting from gamers and get a real on-line service for them at some point .. but I doubt it since the faithful seem to be content with less. Kind of like HD DVD really.

A few ringleaders spreading the propaganda of the "superior" xp that really isn't .. again like HD DVD .. but that's the way MS works in general .. attack something your competitor is better at and falsely claim it belongs to you .. the big lie. They are pretty consistent at it and enough peope are gullable to believe it which is why they stick to that strategy.

At the moment, PS3 is averaging at around 50% of XBOX360 total sales.

This number though WILL improve once blockbuster exclusive titles for 2008 (ie. GT 5, FF13 and FFVersus 13 and MGS 4) come out. I predict the initial boost as well as the rate of hw purchases to increase.

Now, as for the Wii, well.......

If the Wii continues to keep its sales growth at a geometric rate, then it may will the console war for this generation (most fuelled by its cheap price and its appeal to non-gamers and senior citizens).

Best hope is for its sales rate to peak then decrease. Only then would we see PS3 taking the lead over the Wii (which may not happen till H2 of year 2009).

As for me, I don't care if Sony loses.

As long as the XBOX 360 is sent to the BOTTOM PIT AT LAST PLACE, then I'm happy with that already.

acctually as of january and february the PS3 has outsold the shitbox world wide. even the PS2 out sold the shitbox.
