That and it was probably filmed here in Calgary when they all got together when the season 1 Blu-Ray was well underway Not from the event itself but appears it could be the Fairmont Palliser.

No, she was pregnant while on the show in a later season. They always hid her behind diagnostic tables and the like.

I thought Crusher was just off at Starfleet Medical.

That, my dear Lincoln, is what they call "bullshitting a replaced character back into the story."

And on this set, we do not want audio errors. Just wanted to clarify that.

I hope this isn't the last season where they get everyone together and shoot it. They should take the profits from these blus and give TNG a proper film ending.

From what I understand, McFadden left because one of the producers was sexually harassing her. If I recall correctly, Stewart asked her to come back after the producer left the show and she agreed. To be honest, I preferred Diana Muldaur's character (and her as an actress) and kinda wish she had stayed on. Pulaski was mostly an attempt at placing a McCoy-like doctor on board, but even so she was a stronger personality. I feel Crusher was probably the weakest of the main cast in terms of character development or relative interest. I know this goes against how most fans feel about it, but it's just my opinion.

Her son, Wesley Crusher.......Lord help us all in any universe or time. To be honest, I didn't find him as annoying or weak as others do.

I like Gates McFadden fine... but I always thought Pulaski was a stronger character. They really didn't try to do much in the way of evolving Dr Crusher.

Similarly, Troi really didn't evolve much until the final season. Ro didn't really evolve, though they finally tried to but it was too little too late for the actress who decided to move on (thus the creation of Kira on DS9 instead of Ro Laren going along with O'Brien to that show).

All things considered, the women on Star Trek really didn't evolve much as characters until DS9 and Voyager came along. Then we got female characters that were given stories and growth.

I'm gonna have to take a look at my photos (from the Comic Expo) I took of Patrick Stewart and see what he was wearing and compare it with the clip in the trailer to confirm it.

And oddly enough, that same producer, Maurice Hurley, came back in the 4th Season to write the episode "Galaxy's Child" in which Dr. Leah Brahms inadvertently stumbles upon Geordi's holodeck program of the two of them getting intimate during "Booby Trap" ... Dr. Brahms is enraged, of course, at this violation... and Hurley puts these lines into Geordi's mouth which in light of his incident with McFadden, almost reads like a justification or fantasy confession for his real-life actions:

Code:
That's enough. Geordi's had it.

                     GEORDI
Ever since you came on board,
          you've been badgering me... and
I've taken it. I've shown you
courtesy, and respect, and a hell
of a lot of patience. I've tried
to understand you and I've tried
          to get along with you...

The words come pouring out of Geordi... all the pent-up
frustration, the buried anger...

                     GEORDI
And in return, you've accused me,
          tried and convicted me without
bothering to hear my side of it.
So -- I'm guilty, okay? But not
of what you think... of something
          much worse...

She stares at him, silenced by this passionate
outpouring.

                     GEORDI
I'm guilty of reaching out to
          you... of hoping we could
          connect... I'm guilty of a
          terrible crime, Doctor -- I
          offered you friendship.

He heads for the door, EXITS. She stands utterly
still, two bright spots flushing the cheeks of an
otherwise pale face.

Not gonna happen. They're onto the Abrams films right now, and it would not suprise me if a new Kirk/Spock/McCoy era TV series comes out of all of this by the end.

Besides, Brent Spiner is far too old to play Data anymore. Just like he said himself, "Androids shouldn't age."

TNG is done.

I agree, I loved Dr. Pulaski and Diana Muldaur is a great actress. I've always felt there was a certain degree of sexism when it comes to most fanboy opinions of Pulaski; let's face it, she wasn't as MILFy as Crusher, and I feel that is mostly why they prefer Crusher over Pulaski. In fact, a lot of Pulaski's personality traits were transferred to Crusher when she came back, and everyone liked her better than when she was in season one. And aside from her transporter phobia, Pulaski really wasn't all that much like McCoy. She was a lot less racist for starters too.

They can always just reboot TNG in the Abrams universe - with Tom Hardy as a young Picard of course.

Also it doesn't seem so bad that they never really wrapped up the movies because they had a good final sendoff with All Good Things... on the show.

In addition to Pulaski's looks in comparision to Crusher's, she also had a rather stand-of-ish and arrogant attitude that put a lot of people off. You even see that in the original series. She just wasn't that likeable with her attitude. A lot of the time, her voice was very monotone. I found she lacked emotion and what emotion was displayed came across very cold instead of being warm. That's certainly why I preferred Crusher. Pulaski was just too much of a cold robot. Too busy being more of a scientist and less of a human being. Bones would have hated her guts.

Wow, reading that dialog from the Hurley-scripted show really made my skin crawl - very creepy stuff!

See, to me it was the opposite. I always saw her as caring more about her patients than protocol, like when she skips out on standard transfer protocol to meet with Troi during her pregnancy when she comes onboard, which irritated Picard. Or when she kept defying Picard in the episode with the children that transmit the aging disease, willing to put her own life at risk to save them. Her defiance bit her in the ass in that episode, but I like that in show where (up to that point) everyone was so damn perfect, here came someone with some flaws and a little bit of attitude. I also liked ways in which her character grew over season two--at first she very much thought of Data only as a machine, but by the end of the season she clearly saw his humanity more than most (she chews him out for pouting about not winning a game against a humanoid, admitting that his pride was hurt) and I love that she shared the Klingon tea ceremony with Worf, even though it could have potentially killed her. She was just ballsier to me.

I'll admit though, they started to transfer a lot of Pulaski's personality traits to Crusher when she returned (although not all) Beverly Crusher was a really different character when she came back. In season one, she was almost a non entity.

For me, season 2 is when TNG really starts to take off and turned into a show not to miss. I heavily anticipated its airing every week.
