is a 4x BD-rom more fast than 12x DVD????

4x Blu-Ray = 4 x 36Mbps = 144Mbps

12x dvd= 12 x 11Mbps = 132Mbps

I think that's correct dvd speed. Though Blu-Ray is currently restricted to 2x I believe.

Hmm..... this must be a question regarding the proposed speed of the Blu-ray drive that will be used for the PS3.

IMO, I think it will AT LEAST be 4x. Although Ken Kutaragi said that it will boast a 6x Blu-ray drive.

You might wanna check out the Video Games Board and look for the thread entitled "Playstation 3 discussion". Once, there, go to page 3 and scroll down.

That should help
