CHRONOS –Replacement Discs are in Stock

We now have replacement CHRONOS Blu-ray Discs in Stock. For those waiting for replacements, they have all shipped via US Postal Service 1st Class Mail as of 3/16/2007. All future replacements will also ship via US Postal Service 1st Class Mail.

The bad news is despite a recall we placed on this product, we have yet to receive any defective returns from our distributors. This means that there is still a great deal of defective product circulating in the field. Also, I am afraid that it will take us a while to reduce the quantity of defective discs in the field.

The good news is that we are now shipping good product to our accounts and we are working on a website for customers interested in purchasing this product. In the meantime, we will continue to reduce the quantity of defective product in the field.

For retail customers interested in being able to determine whether their product will play on a PS3 or not, we have made a few slight revisions to the packaging and disc face. This was done to help identify the difference between a Sony PS3 Compatible Disc and one that will not play on a Sony PS3.

Here is the overview:

The spine of the re-released version of CHRONOS, the version that will play on a Sony PS3 System, has a Small Dark Blue Dot on the spine.

Hi,

We apologize for any inconvenience related to the defective BD Product you may have purchased.

We will be happy to replace your disc or, if you prefer, you can return it to the place of purchase for a refund. A receipt is not required for replacement but we would like to get the old disc back.

Should you choose to have your disc replaced, we will include a pre-paid mailer for sending us back the defective CHRONOS BD product. We do not want them out in the field.

Ideally, if you still have your receipt, please e-mail a PDF to us at rcasey@aol.com. Please include your address and a contact number so that we can mail you a replacement disc.

There is no need to contact our distributor, Koch Entertainment. The replacements are our responsibility.

As far as we know, this error message is caused by a PS3 firmware update that was not properly communicated to BD Authoring Labs therefore resulting in this issue. This communication is not something within our control and we are sorry if you received one of these defective discs.

In addition, we have also been informed that we are not the only label experiencing this problem. There are other defective BD Discs manufactured with this exact same issue. Some may have been caught prior to being shipped in to stores. Unfortunately, R&B Films was not notified of this issue until after some of our product shipped.

The disc error issue is strictly related to the Sony Playstation 3 and the disc will play on any other BD Player on the market.

Ive watched this movie 5 times already because the quality and filming is so outstanding I have to put it in everytime ppl come over. thanks for the great service, looking forward to upcoming blu ray releases.my suggestion would be a series on the mind, im graduating soon and am hoping to use my degree in neuroscience to bring science and blu ray together. what other titles are you working on?

I just ordered My Chrono's Blu-ray disc on deepdiscountdvd.com today. Should I have a safe copy coming from them?
