Yes ladies & gentlemen, it is time. Time for what you say, Time for the PlayStation 3 launch in europe of course.

On friday 23rd mrach 2007, the most powerful games console ever made is gonna finally grace the european territories and give us a taste of the great gaming our japanese and american gaming counterparts have enjoyed since November 06.

Not only when it allow some of to get a hands on with the great gaming, most of us will certainly now be able to experience blu-ray movies in an affordable way that doesn't need you running to the bank to get a loan to experience.

So, what i want to know is will you be picking up one on Friday and if so, what games, blu-ray movies and accesories will you be purchasing with your PlayStation 3 to get the most out of it.

Please keep to the topic and we'll have a great thread running for people to come and list what they plan on doing for the launch on friday.

I'm in the US, but I am REALLY excited for you guys. I look forward to how the machine is recieved over there, but even moreso, I look forward to the new firmware update we are all supposed to get this week, which is rumored to open up a few new features for us!

Yup I pick mine up friday.. with Resistance and F1.. I asked for MotorStorm but they screwed that up some how.

Will be getting the BR remote, but as for BR's I've got plenty prepared.. and friday will be a very intresting/fun day.

I've been waiting for this for a long, long time. I've demoted my Wii and 360 to the lower depths of my console/tv bench and the PS2 is standing proud, angled in the same way I intend to stand the PS3 in its place. All prepared.

Hi

Mine is pre orderd and is £70.00 cheaper then the U.K price as we don't pay VAT in the channel islands so I will pay £361.00.

I am hoping to get the BD remote and the component AV Cable.

I have been buying BD's as and when they come out.

Congrats to all in Europe as the release approaches.

Don't overlook Call of Duty 3. Quite a good game and in my opinion, better looking than Resistance. Motorstorm is insane (in a good way).

Casino Royale is my favorite on BD so far. Excellent movie, excellent looking.

YES!!! Congrats to overseas gaming brothers. I'm in the U.S. and have had my ps3 since 11/17/06. Great piece of equipment. Not one problem as of yet. Blu-Rays have always played flawless (even after updates). And i've actually been thinking about selling my 360 for lack of usage. I can't see myself getting anymore games for the 360 unless they're exclusive because i like the ps3 controller so mucy more. Enjoy your endless nights and don't get fired Monday for being late... Cheers!

Only Virtua Fighter right now. had Resistance but didn't enjoy it as much as Socom.... Looking Forward to: Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Warhawk, MGS4, Heavenly Sword, Rainbow Six: Vegas.

Movies: X-Men, Black Hawk Down, Superman, Casino Royale....there are lots of others too.

Games: MotorStorm, Tekken 5 Res. <(online downloadable game), Resistance:Fall of Man, Virtua Fighter 5. Both fighting games are good.

Yeah you guys won't be disappointed. On top of all that was mentioned I recommend installing Linux on it as well. It turns it into a decent computer and lets you do all kinds of stuff!
