Is there a thread on this already? Maybe it's just me but there seems to be quite a few of these recently. Obviously some will turn out to be firmware issues, but it's still worth keeping track.
The Cabin In The Woods - freezes/skips Casino (play.com steelbook re-issue) - skipping Get Shorty - freezes at a certain moment Moneyball - reports of cracked discs I'll list sources a little while later. |

I always said Blu-ray was rushed to market a year before it was ready just to kill HD-DVD which arrived fully-formed on launch, but it's depressing more than 4 years on to find so many problems with the format and so many recalls. |

Tarzan has picture issues.
Arachnophobia US release had picture issues but has now been resolved. There may be some places that are still selling the original discs so ask first. Chariots of Fire Pixalated scenes. Twin Peaks Fire Walk With me Audio issues. |

Can't remember what the precise problem was but "Let The Right One In" was faulty on original issue and a replacement program was introduced to replace the faulty copies. I think the fault was on the audio but can't remember the specifics. Sorry! I seem to remember they changed the slipcase between the original release and the reissue.

I have the original release of Let The Right One In which I bought from CeX. I watch my Blu-rays in my bedroom and don't yet have a sound system; is there any way that I can check if my disc has the issue as I will invest in a decent set-up in the future?

I seem to remember some fuss about a white flash frame somewhere in the middle of the film that shouldn't have been there and was some sort of authoring glitch? My memory's very bad these days and I can't find my original email correspondence about the replacement program

Do you have a display button or something that shows you the disc information while it's playing on your player ? When I had the duff disc it just showed as DTS on mine.

I remember the good old DVD days when your player told you how long you had left in the chapter and all that stuff. We've gone a bit backwards! |

Pressing "select" does the same as pressing "display", I should have thought about pressing "display" to find out as I use it nearly every time I watch a film. It shows up as "DTS-HD MA" so does that mean my disc isn't affected?
