The Adventures of Robin Hood - 1938 - Blu-ray Forum

Hi all,

I know that Warner Bros. released "The Adventures of Robin Hood" (Errol Flynn - 1938) in HD-DVD. Does anyone have any info as to when they may release this film in Blu-ray?

OK, Checking the Warner release info I see that "The Adventures of Robin Hood" is now penciled in for 2008 (no actual release date or technical data). I see that "Casablanca" is also slated for 2008 as well!

Have they done anything to improve the sound?

I have the DVD, and the picture is OK , considering it's age, but the sound was quite bad.

Last I read (Insider's thread) Robin Hood did not sell very well on HD DED. Consequently, Warner was going to wait for the Blu-ray instal base to get bigger before releasing. This is one of the titles that Toshiba "purchased" for its doomed format. Now we pay for their failure.

To me, this version is THE ROBIN HOOD!

No other Robin Hood movie comes close except Robin Hood: Men In Tights.

Great sword fights and a good love story. Errol Flynn in all this glory.

Can't wait!

No other Robin Hood movie comes close except Robin Hood: Men In Tights. Great sword fights and a good love story. Errol Flynn in all this glory. Can't wait!
