With the announcement of Rambo 2&3 coming to blu on what we are assuming will be Day and Date with Rambo 4 and prob a box set what do you think the chances are of us getting Rocky 2-5 on blu ray and a blu release of the Full series sometime this year?

Can't have a Rocky discussion without that coming up

Rocky Balboa was one of the best films of 2006 . . . joke all you want, but it's a great film.

4 was good, but not the best. 1 & 2 were by far the best of the Rocky series. 5 in my opinion was the worst but still OK.

My main problem with Rocky 5 is that it feels like it was filmed entirely on a soundstage. It's very claustrophobic. Ok, the story is weak, but it almost seems necessary in light of Rocky Balboa to get Rocky to where he is in the final film.

After the first film, 3 is my favorite. A lot of great moments and I think Stallone was in his best shape.

Just some humor here on the Forum. I hope that's OK with you? How about:

James Bond XXII

Indiana Jones VIII

Superman IX

Blade VI

Star Trek XXXII

Etc., Etc., Etc.

I know, I hear it all the time. I think Rocky Balboa is the film I always find myself defending.

I always think of that scene from Spaceballs . . . "Rocky Five . . . THOUSAND!!!"

This is the third time you've missed the (obvious) joking/sarcasm in my posts and gotten your panties in a bunch. I even quoted a comedy for Christ's sake that was in the same vein as what you were talking about. Maybe I have to put a disclaimer on my posts or spell everything out from now on, but everybody else seems to get it.

I do not have a problem, until you posted this. I simply extended my apology to you, if for some reason you were upset by my humor postings about Rocky. When you stated how important that movie was to you, I came back in an apologized.

Then you come in and post this. Gee, I note that you are a "Blu-ray Guru", and as Harry Callihan would say "A legend in his own mind". That the greater number of posts you make, the more vulgar and rude you feel you can become to other Forum Members. Well, I don't buy it. What I percieved as an action, extending the olive branch (my apology), ended up getting shoved down my throat. Your comments simply prove that your elevated status as a blu-ray guru, is nothing more than a label on an empty bottle (no content). [Jim]

Rocky 5 has my favorite Rocky Quote in it.

Tommy Gun enters local bar and knocks Polly's down and knocks his tooth out. Rocky turns around after checking on Polly and says.....

Rocky: "You knocked him down, why don't you try knockin me down now?"

Promoter: "Tommy Gun only fights in the ring."

Rocky: "My rings out side!!"'

The obviously sarcastic comment regarding the editing of your post makes me question the sincereness of your apology. And, as I said before, this is not the first time.

FYI . . . the status that appears under one's name is not up to members . . . it's an automatic status designated by the mods, so I have no control over it, nor do I really care what it says. I have no issues with any specific members, and no other members have expressed any problems with me. I have never received any infractions and provide the most help I can to anyone who needs it. I would hardly call my contribution to the site "empty."
