American Beauty is my all time favorite movie and I would love to have it on Blue-ray. Does anyone have any info?

no.. Although I would also love that on BD as it's one of my top 3 movies ever.

I'm sorry, I don't know. One sure fire fix is to move to the UK!

Why would anyone charge for a region encoded disk though? Shouldn't they all be free? you know, like a smoke free zone?

Should hit Blu-ray with the 10th Anniversary Edition next year (exact date depends on how they try to tie in with Revolutionary Road). I'm hoping they include the extended endings (there were two) footage either as deleted footage or a branching option to integrate back into the film.

Certainly, I trust Mendes made the right decision to end the film where he did, but since the footage was shot it would be interesting to play armchair director and at least see how it would effect the film.

For those who don't know, Mendes cut the last 30 minutes or so of the film in editing.

The fact that Mendes couldn't decide which ending worked better likely means the film is stronger with the entire act cut (as it was released in theatres and DVD)... but, it would still be fascinating to see the cut scenes.

Wow...kind of glad that was cut then, that would run on. I love the movie as is. Definitely also in my top 3 and I hope it gets a release sometime soon.

This one is definately at the top of my favourite movie list. A BD version would be very welcome in my collection. The alt endings would be interesting, but they really don't sound like a good idea; I'd still watch them, like some people like to watch car crashes.

I hate this American Beauty movie for personal reasons.
So don't try to make me say what reasons cause it's personal and I just won't say.

Hmm okay, it's cause my ex Girlfriend talked a lot about that movie AFTER dumping me and I know she watched it with some other guy

I also hate Canadians but don't try to make me say why cause I just won't.

sigh, okay my ex Girlfriend is Canadian and she hurt my feelings and it's all Canadians fault I say !
