I'm not insinuating anything here, why would you want a movie like Office Space or The Big Lebowski on BR? For very old films, I can sort of see how the restoration needed would make it look better, but on some of these movies I really wonder, especially comedies. I know you can't just release blockbuster action movies on BR, but there is an excellent reason for those, the quality is something you want to be top-notch, to immerse you in the action/drama. For comedies, I just want to hear/watch the jokes, and I just don't understand why people want them on HD, where you'd pay at least $5 extra.

I watched Memento on BR and decided not to buy it, as I didn't see enough of an increase in the overall quality of the picture or sound.

Like I said, I'm just wondering, so if anyone wants to give me their reasons, I'd be glad to hear them.

Ok, I get that. To me, for comedies it just doesn't matter.

Lebowski, to me, is far beyond just a comedy. It has parallels to Bogart/Big Sleep and there is actually a lot of attention to detail in the cinematography and audio/score. I'll go a step further and say anyone who writes off the classic Coen Bros movies Fargo, Lebowski, Fink and O Brother is not a connoisseur of film.
