i would like to know what the relation is between:

Onkyo, Integra and Integra Researsch?

What is the difference?

Because you can find pre-amps/processors, receivers, amplifiers from these brands. And i olso found a receiver with onkyo intergra on it. I searched the internet but could not find a simple awnser.

Onkyo: Toyota
Onkyo Pro: Toyota 4x4
Integra: Lexus
Integra Research: Gold-plated Lexus

Onkyo is the parent of the four brands.

Onkyo is the mass market line.
Onkyo Pro is the professional/DJ line.
Integra is the general home theater dealer/custom installer line.
Integra Research is the uber-expensive boutique line.

Many of the products are the same internally across the various brands. Most of the differences are cosmetic and a slight changing of ("hand-chosen") parts here and there. You're essentially paying for the name badge with each upgrade and a longer warranty.

The "Onkyo Integra" item you found was most likely an older component (from the 80s?), as they've made great effort to separate the two lines for a long time.

Also, Onkyo Pro does make some CE stuff, and tends to be available through installers, rather than at retail. Integra somewhat as well, although also through high end dealers.
