Blasphemy!
I always think of the final scene in The Soprano's series...I love that scene, and the song only made it better, IMO.

Forgot about that one, it did feature that song. I just hear it a lot when I go karaoke bars and this movie featured it prominently as well. It was even the championship song for the White Sox when they won the World Series in '05!

Maybe this was already addressed, but is the $7.99 blu-ray only edition the same blu-ray that's in the combo pack? Or is it PG-13 movie only?

I think it's only PG-13. With the Extended R Cut only being available in the combo pack.

This going for $8.99 at Frys. And that's the extended combo pack. That's in the ad and online tomorrow for it though.

Some other good ones too for $8.99 today only though!

Wink Rock of Ages

I received Rock of Ages Blu-ray from my wife for my birthday last week and I really really like it. I grew up in the 70's and 80's the first decade as a male on the prowl and the latter as a newly wed. This movie reminds me of a time when I was a party animal that loved music and sex. Although the movie has not received very good reviews, anyone having lived in that era will thoroughly enjoy this movie. I have a Denon and Paradigm system and I play this movie at "reference" level "0" on my Denon receiver. Is it loud, yes but this is a music video and regardless of what former reviewers have stated I rather like the the script. Great music and a plot that is believable, especially noting we have all seen our favourite hangout's demise with changing social norms and changes in our own personal responsibilities with marriage, employment and parenting.

If you're 50+, give this video a look/listen and I know you will be thoroughly entertained.

It was definitely the best movie of the summer, in my opinion.

Yeah, it was really entertaining.

I saw it 4x at the theater and 1x on the Extended Edition Blu-Ray.

A lot of people didn't like it, but I don't think it was supposed to be something really serious. It was just a really fun movie with great songs that brought back one of the best decades of music!

Saw it once in theaters and a few times on blu ray.

I know alot didn't. Probably cause they thought it was cheesy or something, or that it didn't take itself too serious.

Huh. The disc that arrived from Netflix is clearly labelled "Rock of Ages: Extended Edition" and yet it contains only the theatrical edition. I can understand their policy of suppressing bonus features on rentals to encourage people to buy the product, but this just seems bizarre to me.

The Extended Edition is a two-disc set with both versions of the film on separate discs, respectively.

Looks like they screwed you lol

Actually nobody was screwed by Netflix. The Netflix listing has a running time of 123 minutes which is the theatrical run time. Also that listing makes no mention of an extended version.
So Netflix fulfilled their end of the bargain. They can't help out the studio labels their discs.
