Default Lurking Noob

Just stopping by to make my introductions.

Won't bore anyone with all the details, but foolishly allowed myself to be talked into buying an HD-DVD recently (right before "rumors" of the Toshiba drop-out hit) so I immediately went into reactive mode, found a blu-ray site (this one) and began lurking...

Long and short is, took the player back and bought a 40GB PS3 to meet both my movie and my gaming needs. Have 7 BDs right now, with another on the way from the UK.

My setup reads something like:
32" Sharp Aquos (1080p)
Pioneer Receiver (honestly, it's so old, does it matter what model? My next investment is this! Probably going with the Onkyo 605)
PS3 40GB
XBox 360 - 17 games
Nintendo Wii - 6 games
..and of course I own hundreds of DVDs -- I honestly have no idea how many, but I love 'em.

So, again hi, hope to get to know some of you in the future and contribute in some way.

Cheers!

Thanks!

Put it this way, I only been reading about a week and I already know what new receiver I want and am importing discs for the first time ever -- it's been great!

Best site on the internet, bar none, for Blu-Ray info, several BR insiders are the gold standard, and the mods are borderline what most peeps would consider in-the-knows at worst.
