Default Another Lurking Newbie comes out of the Closet

Thought it was time to introduce myself. I have been visiting this website ever since I bought my Blu-Ray player last year. Lately it seems that I have been coming here several times a day.

I currently own about 4,000 regular DVDs ( I started when DVDs came out, but I can quit at any time), 190 Blu-Rays and no HD-DVDs.

I have a 70" SONY Qualia SXRD 006 TV which is old enough that it maxes out at 1080i. But, the picture is so great that I'm not likely to change anytime soon.

I did discover that lowering the resolution to 720p seemed to make a difference on That's Entertainment. Some of the old black and white clips looked very strange in 1080i, but cleaned up in 720p.

I find that for the last few weeks I am now buying more Blu-Rays than regular DVDs, just one more sign that the revolution is here!
