Universal has not made any specific title announcements at this time.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, and sadly this is nothing new, but I watched Hot Fuzz earlier today and thought to myself, "Man I really want to see this come to Blu." (And Shaun of the Dead).

Anyway, I seem to recall that Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg had been working on the third and final installment of their "series", if that is what you want to call it, which re-teams Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, and supposedly distributed again by Universal. The third one is tentatively titled "The World's End" (probably their "twisted" take on a disaster movie).

Here's a linkeeee.... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1213663/

My point is, hopefully, if the ball gets rolling soon on this one, we might see Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead on Blu. (Sooner rather than later).

These two are are riot. Actually, we might get a double dose. IGN just reported this the other day;

Pegg later posted some better news regarding Paul -- his reunion project with Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead co-star Nick Frost -- where he revealed that Superbad helmer Greg Mottola will direct the comedy. Pegg previously told IGN that Paul is "a road movie set in America about two British comic book geeks that get into an adventure across America."

Pegg and Frost should do a romantic comedy. After Hot Fuzz, I think they can pull it off.

Pegg tried that. He wrote Run Fatboy Run and few liked it. And Shaun was a ZomCom.

Hot Fuzz wasn't that great, just okay IMO and I love Shaun of the Dead, but it will soon be a classic to comedy central. They already show it a couple of times a year. As big of an HD junkie as I am, I really don't mind watching either of these flicks on regular tv so I can do without the Blu-rays right now. With the production lines as full as they are, I don't mind them making room for other movies.

without Frost, Pegg is goddamn annoying and just is NOT funny.

I'd buy both of these on blu-ray. 2 of my favorite comedies.

I said Pegg AND Frost should do a romantic comedy - together. They pulled it off rather handsomely at the end of Hot Fuzz.

There seems to be some confusion in this topic...

The films being referred to by the OP are not "Pegg & Frost" movies as such...

They are written by Simon Pegg & Edgar Write... the duo also responsible for the excellent UK sitcom "Spaced"

Frost just happens to be leading support in both movies & the sitcom, because he is best mates with Pegg

Similarly... Pegg was NOT the writer of Run Fatboy Run.. he mearly gets a screenplay credit because he changed so much of the dialogue in the movie (which makes you wonder just how bad that film would have been if he hadn't have done so)

I have been EAGERLY AWAITING Saun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz on Blu-Ray. These are definite buys for sure!!

By the way, if you want to see Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in their beginning, check out a British TV series called SPACED http://www.amazon.com/Spaced-Complete/dp/B0019MFY3Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1219338177&sr=1-1 It freakin' rules!!

Glad someone cleared it up. Watching the extras on Hot Fuzz was good to learn how funny all three are together. I actually enjoyed Run Fatboy Run but mainly because of Pegg and Dylan Moran.

It should be interesting to see Pegg playing Scotty in the new Star Trek.

For those who didn't know, 'Hot Fuzz' is excellent in High Definition. I didn't even buy it for the movie (not my type of thing, but turned out to be quite enjoyable) just the ultra-sharp image quality. So much of the film is shot in bright daylight and the result ranks right up there with films like King Kong and Planet Earth for demo material.
Got 'Shaun of the Dead' HDDVD on my desk now, but haven't gotten around to watching it yet (seen the movie once before on SD)
