ps3 audio problems - Blu-ray Forum

i have a sony reciever that has the auto format decode option. it chooses the best audio option for whatever situation. anyway, when i play a game its in 5.1, when i watch a regular dvd its in 5.1, but when i put an actual bluray movie in it plays only in stereo. the reciever is about 8 years old and im using the optical audio cable for my sound and hdmi straight to the tv for video.

change bd/dvd settings to bitstream

edit: in the bd/dvd settings, its the audio option change from lpcm to bitstream
