Default WalMart BD movie selection stinks!

I can't believe how poor the WalMart selection for Blu-Ray movies is. I don't understand why they don't carry more. I've been in 3 different stores and none have had more than 15-20 selections. That's TERRIBLE!.

The selection at WM is very limited, but I expect it to get better.

Poor yankee fan whining cause someone new made a post. I think you have bigger things to worry about like your teams pitching staff.

Their selection sucks, but I did notice they started putting Blu-Rays out with their DVDs in the New Release end caps when I went tonight. Their selection has gotten somewhat better over the last month, still not great though.

Better than the your Red Sox pitching staff
Bandwaggon fan I see

Beckett(Hurt)
Dice K- Over Paid
Schilling- hahahaha he owned your ass with that deal
Lester- ?
Bucholtz- .38 ERA for Chamberlain is more impressive than Bucholtz 1 no hitter, and then he got hurt

And our pitching staff is bad?

Oh and I just noticed your a newbie too. Good for you, making a good impression already

Yeah mine has about 30, and Target has about 60, but Target is a $10 increase. Old releases would help WM though

My BB has like 200, its a pretty nice selection. My Target just got upped from 40 to 60 this passed week. They are getting rid of the HD DVDs

Not really. Blu-Ray is still a fairly small market share. They're not going to carry a lot of catalog titles in the store. Since they only have a small area set aside for Blu-Ray at the moment. However once they pull HD-DUD, I wouldn't be surprised to see at least them double their selection.

They have no reason not to. It would just be a empty section.

My Wal Mart has a pretty good selection (better than they used to). Hell, I just picked up both Dan In Real Life & Hitman for 19.86 a piece. What a deal !

Yeah, I'll chime in with agreement about the limited, rather poor selection of BD titles at Wal-Mart.

I bought No Country for Old Men at the WM SuperCenter nearest my home a few days ago. Had enough cash on hand to get Independence Day too. But they didn't have it in stock or any of the other BDs that were released this past Tuesday either. Guess I'll just have to go through Amazon instead.

Yeah wally world sucks the big one. I have 5 wal-marts in my town and none of them had NCFOM. I have two Best Buys in my town and neither of them had NCFOM. I have three Targets in my town and none of them had NCFOM. I have one Circuit City in my town and it did not have NCFOM. Amazon has it sure, but then I can't use my coupon.

Blah blah blah "post this somewhere else", but he's right. My Wal-Mart has, off the top of my head,

Gone Baby Gone
Saw 4
HP 5
Dan In Real Life
Hitman
No Country (bought it from them)
Good Luck Chuck

None of them Blu-Ray worthy in my opinion. They're still luxury to me, until they take over. I just won't buy it it's not Blu-Ray worthy. No Country, I Am Legend, Blade Runner, sure. But Gone Baby Gone?

**** you, Wal Mart. The man had a point.

a few years ago on a different forum, we had a saying: "All threads eventually go off topic." This one went fast though! And it's that time of year when off topic talk turns to baseball. I was guilty of it myself last week. But today I'm sad that my team lost to the team of the city I live in now
