Default Why xbox360's HDMI output is flawed ((video included))

Here’s a video showing you that new xbox360 premiums with hdmi output can’t really handle it very well , you see I changed the channel from hdmi-1 (360 channel) to hdmi-2 (ps3 channel) to check something and when I changed it back to hdmi-1 the 360 restarted itself and almost cost me 4 hrs of gameplay in lost odyssey (I saved right before that)

Raise the volume to listen to the music the second I got back to hdmi-1

I wonder if I’m the only one with this problem

Title should instead by "Why xbox360's HDMI output is flawed".

The xbox360 absolutely SHOULD have HDMI output. Just Microsoft screwed up somewhere I guess.

I was thinking of buying a new 360 just for the hdmi. Right now I can only get 1080p through VGA. The problem is, I cant turn up the 120hz feature on my display, its stuck on low through the VGA.

I dont really understand why you would flip back and forth from the 360 to ps3 anyway, are you trying to play 2 games at once?

Could be downloading on one whilst playing a game on the other perhaps.

The original Xbox also reset when you removed the video cable. I experienced this when switching cables to try to capture some Otogi footage back in the day.

The problem apparently comes from stripping the casing off of your audio so you can use HDMI and component at the same time

When it loses HDMI handshake, it sees the component circuit and switches over. Re-handshaking confuses it and it resets

You need to either buy the dongle, do the surgery, or live with it
