Are You Happy Now?

The question asked could be either Are you happy or not at the current moment. or are you happy now with your current life and situations in it.

Hope this doesn't seem like a sequel to the Depression thread I made. Just interested in hearing users thoughts on this and their take. I'm just bored so I thought i made a thread to talk about something.

I am mostly happy with my life. In general I think we make or create either our own happy moments or bad moments. In general my main trouble is stress from work. I stress very easy at work and it as become so bad over the years that to constant stress I ended up developing Anxiety issues. Just after new years I left my old work, was there for a very long time and I can't say I hated the place but the stress in the last three years had become too much of a issue so I change work, a bit less money but better for me

I have no reason not to be happy.

But....like everyone else I get good days and bad days. There can be times when I feel inexplicably depressed or emotional, and other times I may feel extremely euphoric. So many contributing factors determine my state of mind and well being such as circumstance, diet, amount of quality sleep and exercise that theoretically I could be described as unstable lol!

In general though, I have a wonderful life. As long as I stay away from people I'm happy.

I'd say I'm more content than happy but I really have nothing to complain about

Being happy always depends on your circumstances, and this world is a mess and on fire. It is like the frog in your science project, he is being slowly boiled alive, but he does not even realize it.

Happiness is a choice that requires effort at times. This is how I roll.

I'm happy. I would be happier if I could catch a couple of breaks, but I suppose that everyone else in the world can say the same.

That's true. You have to see the security guard at my building. The guy is always in a good mood. He greets everyone and always has a big smile on his face. For such a boring job that pays minimum wage, it's amazing how he can remain happy all the time. Even my dentist is always in a very happy, kind mood. I can imagine how stressful being a dentist can be, but somehow, he always manages to be in such a good mood all the time. It's the reason why I've been going to him for so long. Who would want to go to a dentist that's always mad?!

So yeah, it's true. EVERYBODY has problems and issues they need to deal with. It's how they react to these things that determine whether you will be happy or sad. It requires a lot of training and discipline to train yourself to look on the bright side of things and to realize that many of our issues are not as big a deal as we make them out to be.

I've had a lot of ups and downs in my life but through it all I've been able to find my happy place. Literally, regardless of the situation, there will be something that makes me smile and I just move on from my problem. I also try to put things into perspective and rememeber that things could be a lot worse. Oh, and listening to Eric Idle sing The Galaxy Song makes any bad day seem almost like a blessing.

I'm in a pretty good place in my life right now. Granted I wish it could be better, but I just have to keep my head up & moving foreword.

Definitely blessed right now. You can send me a briefcase full of money and I seriously wouldnt know what to buy. Im not even kidding.
I may not own a home or have a degree or a real career, but I'm young and those thing will happen eventually. As you can see Im not picky.
America wants their fast cars, fast life, nice clothes, mansions, and I rather sit back and chill out.



Watched a few documentaries on living conditions in Myanmar/Cambodia. And people out there have it bad. No one should ever be complaining about their situations. Especially when your on a computer with fast internet and a Bluray tally number next to your handle.

Im not saying just because we live in America we cant complain but if you think you have it bad someone out there has it worst.

In the grand scheme of things, I'm downright thrilled that I live in a building where clean tap water comes out of a faucet when I turn the handle.

It's amazing how many people in the world do not even possess that luxury.

Am I happy? Getting there..last 2-3 years of my life have been hell on earth... my mom was diagnosed lung cancer..then my Dad passed away in his sleep...closed my business..then unemployed for about a year...my mom passed away 5 months ago after a 3 year battle. At the end, her family made that situation worse than it needed to be..plus they tried ripping me off. Sometimes I'm amazed my marriage survived.

Been back working 3-4 months in the same type of business I had.. for some friends..who went through a similar situation that I did. Doesn't hurt that my Dad & their Dad were partners..my Dad got him in the business. I'm more than grateful for the opportunity. I'll do whatever it takes to help them. The old me is starting to come back.

Happy? well at least I don't hate myself anymore...

not gonna lie... i am not happy and i'm very depressed. it doesn't help that my dog is once again sick and i couldn't even do anything about it because i can't afford his medical expenses.

I'm not depressed or happy. I just am. I haven't really been happy since SWAT raided my house, lost my career, lost my house and when to jail for something I didn't even do. I'll be happy when I hit the powerball. It's up to $150 million.
