My PS3 and iPOD will not connect?? - Blu-ray Forum

Tried streaming my iPOD and PS3 and while it recognizes the device I cannot get it to download any songs. Is there something I'm missing? Any help would be great. Thanks gang.

i think if you want to save music to your hard drive you have to have
a hard copy cd or burned mp3......If you could just hook a ipod up
and download the music, u could use anyones ipod and "steal" there
whole library

I had to go to "search for media" under the music section on the xmb. Then it found all the songs and I was able to pick and choose. It didn't work the other ways. It showed ipod and I tried selecting it and stuff but it didn't display anything. So try the "search for media" option. It should work.

I agree with shin-ra without hitting display all it will instead look for the following..

/PS3/VIDEO/

Instead of taking you to the root folder.

Newer ipods dont work.. They didnt on the XBOX 360 like the new nanos and touches FYI.

I got fed up with trying to get my PS3 to run my iPod, so I just got an iPod dock for my Yamaha receiver. Haven't tried it yet, but hopefully this will fix the issues.
