Default I LOVE Netflix topped with Blu-ray sauce, yumm yumm

If any one of your are contemplating on whether to go with Netflix or Blockbuster Online, pick Netflix.

I have the 2-Disc rental, and it has been fantastic.

They have this setting where, if you have a Blu-ray player, it will automatically give you a Blu-ray if its available in that format.

My wife signed up for a sub-account of mine (free), so she gets her own queue section and I get my own. When the DVDs are mailed to us, they actually put her name for her queue. It doesn't get any cooler than that.

Shipping wise, I put I Am Legend in my queue 2 days before release, and it actually shipped on Mon, the day before it came out!
I watched it on Tuesday, shipped it back Wednesday, and picked up my next movie Enchanted, and that is coming today (Friday).

With shipping that fast, who cares about personally handing in your movies!

Can't we ban Netlfix from advertising like this.

I'm a netflix member and I find this charade offensive.

Netflix would have to resort to a charade? If it is a charade, then "pathetic" would be my word choice.

Perhaps the member is just expressing a personal opinion. It occasionally happens.

+1...

We've seen a ton of BBVO vs NF threads here. This is just another person's opinion.

I wonder about the sub member portion and having 2 queues how does it figure out what priority it will send your movies to you? one disk from each queue. what if your set up to get 3 movies at a time such as I am. could I split it 2 for me 1 for my wife?

I just dumped Netflix and went back to Blockbuster...

My last 3 Blu-ray rentals were cracked and I have a hard time remembering to put the moives back in the mail.

For $3 more, I can return the movies in store and exchange them 5 times a month.

I was pissed at Blockbuster for continually upping my membership prices, but, Netflix drove me back.

To each his own, I guess....

Yup - I've had no issues with netflix and love it. I can't speak to the new release part, because I've only tried to get one BD the day it released from them, and was unable - but otherwise I've had no issues with turnaround or the disks themselves.

The whole new release thing was never a big deal to me either - I have a ton of stuff in queue I've never seen so I don't care too much what I get next.

For those things that I'm absolutely dying to see the day they release on BD I go a different route - it's called "purchase".

yeah, I started with Netflix, switched to blockbuster. At that time they had unlimited in store exchanges and one free rental coupon you could use in store for games or movies. They took the free coupon away and limited instore exchanges to 5, and raised my 3 at a time plan to 23.99. So I recently switched back to netflix, and have had no problems getting any bd's.

I scored Enchanted this week on day 1, so I'm not complaining.

Is North Korea known for being a particularly good place to live if you're a sensitive person?

Those that are sensative to freedom of speech and opinion.

If he lives there, he can just blend in like everyone else and be a nobody.

Same here. I have about 35 films in my queue. I only rent the ones I've not seen before. I don't get too upset about not getting new releases quickly. But, I've only had to wait on 2 or 3 Blu-rays.... no big deal.

TheRealBob... I'm not sure if you meant this seriously, or in jest... but I laughed by @ss off when I read this. Thank you.
