Buying LCD TVs direct from Amazon.com - Blu-ray Forum

Just curious to know if anyone would be squeamish about ordering an LCD TV DIRECTLY from Amazon.com?
I am wanting to get Sony's KDLV32XBR2 (32" BRAVIA XBR LCD TV).
Please post your thoughts and experiences.

How do they ship TV's? UPS, FedEx, other?
If UPS or FedEx make sure you can be home for the delivey you don't need them to leave a big box in the front of your house that mostly says 'Take Me'

Amazon uses a 3rd party delivery company (not UPS or FedEx). Once the TV is shipped the shipping company will call you to schedule a time to deliver the LCD. They will not leave the package in the front of your house.

you should check out www.fotoconnection.com that's where i got my KDL-40XBR3 for $2,200

Thanks for your responses.
I think I will get a Sony KDLV32XBR2 home in the following manner:
Since I work at Sears, and have a 10% associate's discount on electronics, I will order the above mentioned LCD TV through sears.com. The set is now on clearance for $1599.88, and after my discount it would be $1439.90.
Amazon.com wants virtually the same price for it, but I would feel good knowing I could pick it up at my Sears store.
