Default Blu-Ray discs at BB

Just thought it was pretty cool, I was at BB.com and looking for blank media. The first page that popped up was blank BD-R! Kinda surprised me, but very cool!

I would ask you how much are they, but I can easily look myself. I wondering how long it will be before BB will start offering 50 BD bundles. I look forward to that day!

They are overpriced on the Blu-ray movies and can only imagine what they are on the BD-R media.

The 50 gigs are still really pricey, we have some for testing purposes at work, but we only use them when its absolutely necessary. A cake box of 50 50gig blu-ray at today's prices would potentially cost Several Hundred Dollars. Its probably why we haven't seen them yet 8P, but I agree should be a day worth reckoning. I too cannot wait to burn utterly ridiculous amounts of Data onto single disks.

1250GB for that price isn't too bad. You would pay just as much for an external HDD for 1.2 terabyte. But I agree, I can't wait till 50GB BD's are the norm.

Oh Definitely! As far as I can see it, Optical will eventually take over magnetic based hard-drives as the primary method for data retention. In fact, I think all processing and computing with eventually become light based, one only has to look at the P in DLP, which can be seen as the Grandfather of Tomorrows Processors.
