While it's surprising that Sony licensed a movie this big to Twilight Time, it's one I'll happily pay $30 for. It's been one of my most wanted Blu-rays for a while now. Sony and Twilight Time usually are a good team too, so...

I thought so too actually. The movie is also coming out around the same time in Germany too.
Sony Germany is also releasing a few others that may be future Candidates for TT: Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967) The Way We Were (1973) The Wild One (1953) The Age of Innocence (1993) The China Syndrome (1979) Oliver! (1968) |

I'm not surprised at all, not with them already doing this with As Good as it Gets and Steel Magnolias. I'll be honest, going forward when I get surprised it will be when Sony actually puts out one of their catalog titles themselves, that seems to be a concept that is now a SHOCKER!

Also, yes, it will be surprising when they release more than one here and there on their own. Although, while expensive, licensing them out like this is better than nothing. At least they are still the ones that handle the masters and such, so you know they'll be top notch. |

+1. Sony has become the worst studio when it comes to releasing catalog titles. A shame too since they put out quality releases. Their financial issues probably have a lot to do with this, but in any event, it's pretty unfortunate to see, especially from the company that's one of the biggest advocates for the format.

They are making moves some moves that should benefit them in the long-run, even going as far as to sell their major headquarters in New York, and Japan and rent them instead (which is much cheaper). At the same time, they're releasing the PS4 this year and more than likely at some sort of loss. Last edited by MifuneFan; 04-02-2013 at 03:02 PM. |

Hard to believe this went to TT! This movie is on lots of peoples wish list. It's the 20th anniversary, you'd think it would have a big release.
EDIT: Btw, am I missing something? I clicked on your source and there is no mention of Sleepless in Seattle on that page. Was it edited? Was the info leaked too soon? Nothing to report as far as I can see. Last edited by Torgon; 04-02-2013 at 03:01 PM. |

http://store.intrada.com/s.nl/it.A/id.6011/.f There are plenty of isolated score tracks that present cues that weren't used in the films, or else heavilly truncated (Alien and The Omen come to mind), so a completely rejected score is possible. The Blu of The Getaway has an isolated track of Jerry Fielding's unused music. |
