Default Punk's Dead (2014) SLC Punk! Sequel

http://www.technologytell.com/entert...-in-the-works/

Sweet Glorious God. I don't even know how to respond to this. Honestly, even if this sequel isn't so great, at least this means we'll probably get the first one on blu-ray.

I absolutely love the first movie, especially since I live in Salt Lake and know the punk scene. I'm definitely looking forward to it, I just hope they don't destroy what potential it could have.

Well, last year when Lillard first got the script, he was really excited about it, so I think that bodes well. The indication on the FB page indicates that most of the original cast are returning as well. I'm cautiously optimistic. I'm really looking forward to Lillard getting a chance to take on another serious dramatic role, because I think he's a wonderful actor who doesn't have near the success he could because of some poor role choices.

I hope we get SLC Punk on Blu too. One of my favorite movies. At the time I had no idea who Jason Segal was and now he's a big time actor. Can't remember if he did this before or after Freaks and Geeks.

Definitely! He's incredibly underrated. I think Scooby Doo kinda ruined his reputation a bit. I'm still amazed at his performance in Scream. He was really good in The Descendants too.

If they had left it at the FIRST Scooby Doo movie, I think we'd remember them more fondly. I think the first one was a legitimately good movie, and Lillard IS Shaggy!

I was sort of disappointed with the brevity of his role in The Descendants. I was looking forward to seeing him in a new movie and he was only in it for like ten minutes...

I'm remember seeing the trailer for the first one all the time on VHS and DVD, but never seen the film. I've always liked Lillard.

I have been waiting for SLC Punk to be released on blu ray for a while now.
Hopefully the sequel can live up to the original. I'm curious to see where they go with it since the cast are all 14 years older now. Whatever happened to Devon Sawa? He was hilarious in SLC Punk!

Merendino is supposed to do a Q&A on the Facebook page at 7 p.m. on Sunday. Just a heads up.

Devon appears on Nikita on the CW, and he looks like a badass now.

I wonder how this will work? Since the ending really hit the nail on the head when it comes to a conclusion.

I am all about SLC Punk on Blu-ray. I'd get that day one.

Ugh. SLC Punk was borderline embarrassing with its attempt to use punk as a character vehicle while showing how little the writers actually knew of punk in the period.

I'm cringing so hard right now. This is why I hate all this Kick-starter crap, indie support crap.

Hate to revive a dead thread (Pun unavoidable) but I have a few questions. Is this movie so bad that it isn't even going to get released? The teaser made me want to vomit as soon as I watched it. And any news or chance of SLC finally getting a Blu-ray release? I haven't seen it in a long time...been waiting for a Blu release. Would love to watch it again.
