Default The new SED tv's

I heard something about the new SED tv's, suposedly these tv's are better than the LCD tv's. That a SED television the most HD of them all is.

Is this true?
Is it actually better than a 1080p LCD?

Thanx

Better yet on SED ...

... it certainly has the potential to be - all the advantages of a CRT but in a flat panel - plus lower power consumption. ... but then existing LCDs are improving all the time, and LCD with LED backlights has plenty of further potential, along with OLED, etc. ...

... and with enough procesing power there are plenty of options beyond 1080p. Get a good quality true 1080p display now if you really have to, but expect quality to improve dramatically over the next few years ...

can somebody give a example of a LCD tv with LED backlights?

For example: does the sharp LC26GD7E have LED backlights?

If not, when will 26" LCD tv's with backlight hit the market? (because I am looking for a 26" HD-tv).

tanx

I'm following Blu-ray Disc and other future technologies for quite some years now.. And I'll probably see it in reality in our living room after those next few years..
