Germany got Little Shop and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels so hopefully they'll get this. I had to get Three Amigos! from US.

And as for Bowfinger, Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, The Man with Two Brains. . .

My expectations are low but there is hope.

My only fear is they have an HD version on VUDU that I purchased. Unfortunately it was not a "restored" version so if they are using the same master I think we will be in for disappointment.... Regardless it is my favorite movie of all time so I will be getting it regardless.

I just hope they included the TV version as well!! Different scenes where included in the TV version such as "begging for leather seats"....

They could also throw on the TV sequel The Jerk Too for curiosity value.

How's the transfer on Dirty Rotten Scoundrels? Worth an import? I don't want to throw a Ruprecht-esque tantrum.

Like I said in the thread for Liar Liar, it's entirely possible that these will get slipcovers and the actual case will have regular artwork. Obviously I don't know for sure.

Oh Damn. Liar Liar is getting bordered also? I am hoping these are just slipcovers as well. If this is the actual cover art then that is just horrible, both for this movie and Liar Liar. They both deserve better than this.

Universal's 100th Anniversary releases were all slip-designs, so, yeah, fingers crossed. Not that I'll really care as long as the disc itself is good.

Actually, in that scene, Steve is dancing to a DIFFERENT musical number than was originally used in the theatrical release! The ORIGINAL number was titled "Crazy Rhythm", written by Roger Wolfe Kahn. You can listen to it here via iTunes:

As I recall, both the VHS and Laserdisc versions of 'The Jerk' contained the original Roger Wolfe Kahn number. But by the time the movie was released on DVD (and subsequently online versions, as well as HD DVD) the Kahn musical number had been replaced with something different (quite similar, but different). Apparently, Universal didn't want to pay to relicense the original number for the DVD (and subsequent) release. The first DVD release of 'The Jerk' has a notice printed on the back about some music being changed (I forget the exact wording).

Since I've seen 'The Jerk' more times via DVD and HD DVD than theatrically or Laserdisc (I never owned the VHS), the current musical number seems like the "normal" one to me. But that's not what played in the theater during that scene!
