"SWEENY TODD coming to Blu in April"

or

"Star Wars Ultimate Edition announced"

or

"Spaced Invaders getting the Blu treatment"
By the way I have an inside source that claims this might actually be in the works.

I'm betting on Star Wars and/or Lord of the Rings

Of course,... the LotR one was done for the Italian April fools or something like that already...

Anyway,... I wish people would just forget the whole April 1 stuff. I don't remember being stung by it but... practical jokes can be very unpractical.

Last year after I left my friend's house late at night, I called him from a pay phone and told him I was in jail. He and his wife jumped out of their beds being shocked and actually believed my story. I later told him it was a April Fools joke.

Me and a couple of my friends went to a upscale restaurant in LA. It was the 31st I believe. There is this one dude who gets scared and becomes paranoid without reason. So, we decided to play a prank on him. We were done with appetizers and ordered the main course. Then one of my friends went outside and came back in saying that his roommate has had an accident and is in the hospital. Since, he did not have a car I volunteered to drive him to the hospital. I promised the paranoid friend that I would be back in 10-15 mins. We went outside and waited for about an hour. We were observing the guy from outside and he was all nervous and kept on calling me just to get my answering machine. It was fun to see him with all the food around him and everyone in the restaurant was staring at him. I think he was gonna cry when my friend decided we should go back in. The jerk refused to talk to us and left. We had to pay his bill instead. Our joke went bad since I thought he would have a laugh after we told him everything.

back in high school i played the following pranks for april 1st.

freshman year: i put a bunch of grape flavored carbonated capsules called "fizzies" in all the drinking fountains. took me about 2 hours but the water ran purple soda for about half the day.

sophmore year: took a cooler full of dry ice to school and dumped them in the boy's bathroom toilets. creepy foggy bathrooms and frozen pipes

junior year: expanding glue in the lock of some teachers i didn't like from previous years = classes locked out of their rooms until locks can be removed.

senior year: actually nothing. they caught onto me by then and were watching me all day april 1st. but they never could prove that the senior prank of Mr. bubble in the school pool was me

People are now buying HD-DVD players as paperweights and cup holders and are now using HD-DVD's for coasters and frisbees.

Blu-Ray was all just a dream, there really is no such thing as a Blu-Ray. They're really just updated DVD players. The placebo effect wins!!! You all just thought they looked better.

Best Buy removes all HD DVD movies from their shelves. That's not a joke, I just went there and was actually surprised.

Um, ISTR last year's April Fool's joke was
"Disney bans 'Tron' to the Vault because of copyright issues"
and it was a little too scarily close to real life for anyone to be laughing.

I go with Bill Hunt's Digital Bits policy of not posting April 1 jokes, and providing "a safe Internet April-Free Zone".
