Default Curse of Chucky 2013! Chucky's look has been revealed! Back to unstitched look.

Nica (Fiona Dourif) is grieving over the gruesome suicide of her mother when her domineering older sister Barb (Danielle Bisutti) arrives with her young family in tow to help settle their mother’s affairs. As the sisters butt heads over Nica’s plans for the future, Barb’s young daughter comforts herself with a grinning, red-haired talking doll named Chucky (voiced again by Brad Dourif) that recently arrived mysteriously in the mail. But as a string of brutal murders begins to terrorize the household, Nica suspects the doll may hold the key to the bloodshed. What she doesn’t know is that Chucky has a personal score to settle. He’s determined to finish a job he started more than 20 years earlier, and this time he’s going to see it through to the bloody and shocking end.

Thanks to Arrowinthehead.

so awesome that Brad Dourif is back and that his daughter has the leading role!
Plot sorta sounds like he is once again going after Andy.
Hope this is good

That awkward moment when Chucky spends an hour and a half searching for grown up Andy, only to discover he died of a heroin addiction.... What ever will Chucky do next?

Seriously though, I always welcome a new Chucky film into my life, so bring it on, straight-to-DVD or otherwise!

Wow, they're going for EVERY post-franchise cold-reboot strategy:
- Next Karate Kid Syndrome (reboot the formula all the way from the first film with a girl)
- Jaden Smith Reboot (let the star/producer hand it to his kid)
- Species III Graduation (have "final confrontation" with main character from original first film, to "hand the franchise over" to new actor)

...What next, put it on a spaceship?

Completely fell off my radar, but no matter how shitty, I absolutely will see this in theaters. I've never seen a Chucky movie on the big screen.

Chucky is about one of the only things that truly scared the hell out of me when I was younger. Or atleast the first three did. I liked Bride of Chucky, but didn't care for Seed. Still looking at pictures of Chucky sends shivers up my spine still.

The original movie was 80's Tom Holland.
Fright Night. Psycho II. Cloak & Dagger. Thinner.
But this was the one that made him TOM FREAKIN' HOLLAND.

Yeah, the "girl" reboots usually are. I haven't seen any of the post-Eddie Murphy "Dr. Doolittle's Daughter" videos either.

No, it's usually either a reboot OR a remake, and the star money got the reboot. To give to his kid.
(We used to say that a star "owned" a franchise, and now he actually does. Still, it's better than the progressively insane stuff we were getting when the screenwriter owned it.)

This is actually a sequel that takes place years after part 3 and ignores the events of Bride and Seed. Going back to it's darker horror roots.

I thought Bride and Seed were enjoyable enough. This one sounds like it could be good too. Hopefully we'll get 2, 3, Bride and Seed on blu-ray sometime soon.

Dourif's daughter is pretty damn attractive though and a good pick for the lead.

Hope this comes out by years end.

Considering Bride was the best Chucky movie besides the first it's doubtful .

Definitely looking forward to this. Hope it doesn't suck. Will be fun to watch around Halloween if it is indeed released then, which I imagine it will be.

Same here, they certainly weren't revolutionary or great pieces of cinema, but I thought that they were definitely entertaining.

I also thought that Bride of Chucky (which was the first of now three spinoffs, the other two spin offs being Seed of Chucky and, now, Curse of Chucky) was the best in the series.

Oddly enough, I never saw part three (the final sequel), which several of my friends thought was the best in the series. I, of course, did see 1, 2, Bride and Seed. I plan to see 3 eventually. I will probably pass on Curse because I liked Seed when I saw it the first time 7 or 8 years ago then hated it after the few times that I saw it after the first time I saw Seed.

All of these friends of mine except for one thought Seed was bad and the worst in the series and thought that Bride was nearly as bad as Seed. This isn't my opinion, it is the opinion of several of my friends that thought three was the best in the Child's Play series.
