Haven't seen a Michael Bay movie that I have wanted to see more than once, if that. I can watch mindless action films with the best of them but his movies don't do anything for me. To each his own I guess.

Me too. I especially loved his film Armageddon.

I'm a member of www.shootfortheedit.com, the official Michael Bay forum.
He's filming Transformers 2 right now so he can't answer any questions of course, but he does when he finds time.
I like his movies very much (even pearl Harbor, don't like Armageddon though, no idea why) and he's been an outspoken Blu-ray supporter from the start and with intelligent arguments, unlike all Blu haters.
What is sad is that Paramount made him look like a fool when he had to say he liked HD DVD after all and we still don't have any announcement for transformers on Blu-ray (I think lawyers are at work as Toshiba didn't free them from the "150M $ contract").

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, and the ENTIRE CAST of Transformers doesn't have any acting ability...... bad casting! The Transformers had so much potential, but it certainly let me down big-time with the story-line..... I would expect an element of "cheese" but even bringing in a "love interest" into the story was STUPID.

some bitterness I detect. I like both Will Smith and Shia Lebouf. I guess good acting is all in who's watching. I great actor CAN be funny.

I enjoy most Bay movies for what they are. Popcorn Flicks. They are for the average moviegoer craving some comedy and action. There is nothing wrong with that. He never sets out to make a masterpiece, he knows his audience and he knows what they want. However, I wish his PLATINUM DUNES productions would leave the HORROR CLASSICS alone already. They are really hurting those franchises that many of us love.

I believe that Bad Boys II was his last stab at an R-Rated movie. Never say never, though.

IMO Bay is the best director when it comes to blowing shit up. So yeah, I really enjoy pretty much all of his movies. The Rock might just be my favourite action movie ever.
