Yeah! Definitely a guilty pleasure for me... there's a ton of deleted scenes for that film too that nobody (or at least very few people) has ever seen, but I'm not holding out hope for that.

Walmart has a preorder up already with an 18 dollar list price and a 16.18 preorder price http://www.walmart.com/ip/24621612

OMG, Lucas. I love Lucas! It's such a sensitive wonderful movie. I actually bought the DVD a couple years ago as I never expected a blu, but this is great news. Definite purchase.

Lucas is a sweet movie, so I'm pretty sure I'll get this right away and The Pick-Up Artist is a total guilty pleasure for me. The whole film always just worked for me, despite the fact it was never popular with the masses and dismissed by the critics.

Nice if they both have even decent transfers, but on a day when I think 8 catalogs got announced, the only downside for me is that it wasn't anything I was truly waiting for and I won't be retiring any dvds.

Otherwise, I am pretty happy about adding Lucas and The Pick-Up Artist anyway.

Holy shit... The Pick-up Artist!

Not a title I would've ever expected to be released on Blu-ray. I used to love it when I was a kid and have been wanting to revisit it for a long time now. A young Robert Downey, Jr. before his first downfall and Molly Ringwald at the tail end of her popularity. What's not to love?

Stuck on You is underrated. Matt Damon in a black body sock trying to keep still while his conjoined twin Greg Kinnear acts on stage...

Awesome, finally some catalog titles that interest me!

Definitely in for Silver Streak and The Pickup Artist. Probably will get Lucas as well.

I thought it was pretty disappointing, as "early years" biopics go--
There was nothing in it about how he got the inspiration for his films, or his years with Coppola, or maybe any American Graffiti parallels about his teen interest in cars--All they did was focus on the high school years, and it could've been just about ANY kid with a girl crush and a football team!
I mean, even if it never mentioned anything about Star Wars, and just went up to his college film-school years and ended with THX-1138, that would've been something, but here, seemed like just a sentimental waste of biographical material to throw the name around.

[Show spoiler]

Silver Streak and Lucas for me. Had such a crush on Kerri Green in Lucas and The Goonies years ago.

Sliver Streak!!!!! Now if Anchor Bay or Image can release Another You, my Wilder Pryor collection will be complete!!! Also in for Wing Commander and Stuck on You (If it carries the extras from the DVD) for a good deal.

I'd be surprised if these weren't completely barebones like the recent group of Fox titles that Anchor Bay released (Bedazzled, Airheads, and so on). As long as the DVD copy is really cheap, I'll make my own combo pack like I did for Bedazzled. Not ideal obviously, but better than passing on the release completely or not having any special features.

Definitely want to get Silver Streak....even Wing Commander to replace the old non-anamorphic DVD...was also a fan of the WC games back in the day.

Um NO! I hope not. As evidenced by the lack of features on their latest releases. My Super Ex-Girlfriend and Bedazzled had special features and commentaries that made those DVD's worth while especially Harold Ramis' one for Bedazzled. The fact that they don't have any menu screens shows that they're just doing it on the cheap. Reminds me of Universal's Studio Selections DVD batches they had in the mid 00's where you put in the movie and it automatically started. No menu, subtitles. zip!

Stuck On You had a great commentary by the Farrelly brothers along with deleted scenes and featurettes, where are they? Obviously not present or likely won't be. The others had trailers and short featurettes that are very good or passable for good features, but all that unnecessary. Yet, still great to have though for preservation.

Can you imagine the horror if they released The Abyss, True Lies and other great Fox titles without the features or just due? I'd have Twilight Time release those if that's the case.

I liked "Hanky Panky" more than "Another You". I think that "Another you" is the worst of all Gene Wilder/Richard pryor films.

Does anybody know whether "Silver Streak" will have English subtitles or doesn´t Anchor Bay generally offer them?

Exclamation Oh No! Acchor Bay!

After the release of Bedazzled and Jumpin' Jack Flash, I'm not sure I'll EVER buy an Anchor Bay release day one again.
NO menu , NO scene selection , NO sound improvement (although not expected, it would have been nice), NO features (so don't throw out any DVDs with features!)

1) I'll wait for the reviews. The PQ and AQ are what matter, the others do also if your going to pay day one price.
2) I can wait. The nice thing about price tracking is you can wait for a title to drop in price or go on sale.

If they hadn't lost me as a customer with the above two, I'd be in line again day one for Silver Streak.

'nuff Said

While I'm always disappointed if a Blu doesn't retain most/all of the extras from the previous DVD release, I just stick the DVD into the same case as the Blu and create my own "combo pack". Problem solved.
