the UK version is pretty damn good as is, so unless the PQ is a massive upgrade, I'll pass. Good for everyone else, though.

Was able to watch the first half of this on AMC, and was really digging it. I sincerely hope Universal doesn't digitally molest the transfer. I look forward to the second half.

I'm not saying it is for sure, but it's possible the cover they have up is a slipcover. Maybe the case will have a normal cover.

If it's an upgrade in PQ then I will upgrade over my imported UK disc.

It desperately needs an upgrade for PQ. It was decent back when Blu-ray was just getting started but not good with today's standards.

If anyone picks this up on Tuesday can you post how the PQ is? Especially if you have the imported copy to compare with.

Got mine from DVDWorldUSA today. I've only had a quick look through parts of the movie and though I've never seen what the UK disc's transfer looked like, I'd be surprised if this one was any different. As far as quality goes it certainly isn't fantastic but I think it looks decent enough. And this version has the advantage for including the extras, so I'm glad I held off buying the UK release.
