PQ wasn't that great but I love this movie and it looks way better than a standard DVD. My question is: Was anyone able to use 5.1 DTS? It wasn't an option for me however the BR box says it's supported.

This movie looked great on my tv I own the vhs and it blows that to mars this is worth the buy in my opinion.

I thought it was a vast improvement over DVD. Although there are a couple scenes when the contrast seemed off, it has some good moments.

Hope I am in the right forum, but I am looking for information on the Movie Title Italian Job.

Why can't I seem to find it in any box stores (Best Buy) or Amazon.com or Amazon.ca? did they discontinue it,

if so why? Its a Paramount movie correct.

How can I get my hands on it, where can I order it from.....

I think buy.com still has it for sale. It will come on Amazon and B&M stores soon enough with all the other Paramount titles.

Agreed. but prepare to be underwhelmed. Italian Job is one of my favorite "bank job" genre movies (Okay, I'm also a Charlize Theron fan) but the Blu-Ray transfer was so-so at best. I honestly don't see much improvement over viewing the SD version on my PS3 with upconverting turned on. I'd love for them to remaster it but I'm not holding my breath.

To my knowledge The Italian Job hasn't been released in HD, just the crappy re-make of it with Matt Damon is out....

Matt Damon was not in the remake of the Italian Job, but Mark Wahlberg was. The forums are supposed to be helpful, so if you wish to comment on a movie try the review section.

Dude, stay away from this Blu-Ray ........ for heaven's sake don't buy it. It could be one of the worst PQ Blus ever made. I love this movie and bought the Blu, but the PQ is so distracting that I can't really enjoy it. Wait and it will see a new issue once the sequal nears release. You'll be glad you did.

I disagree, its a pretty big improvement over the standard dvd. I think the only way this will look much better is to rework the master print especially the dark scenes.

If you like the movie, buy it. I bought it knowing that it didnt have the best PQ but I love the movie, so it was worth the $14

I bought it at Best Buy 2 months ago for 24.99. The PQ isn't that frickin bad ...damn. The trick is to have a TV thats worth a $h!*
