great news even though I already ordered the French release long ago.
just ridiculous that Paramount released Sabrina and Funny Face over a year ago in France and other European countries but not the US.
same thing happened with The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.
I mean wtf??
is it all due to the Warner agreement?

Good news, but how much longer is it gonna take for the US? Crazy that we can't get it over here...debating to hold off longer or just import the French release.

The agreement with Warner should make the chance of getting Paramount titles here greater. We probably still wouldn't have An Officer and a Gentleman or The Odd Couple without Warner.

Not sure yet if I'm going to wait and see if Warner brings this and Funny Face out over here or just import from the UK.

the thing is, because of the agreement, Warner may be pushing for certain times to release certain titles. I have no idea, but it just seems strange that the US still doesn't have any of these bds yet. Are they waiting for X-mas?
who knows.
of course these titles will come eventually, but not knowing if it will be 2 months, a year, etc. is just so frustrating. I know I usually just go for the imports for the films I really want.
I'm not very good with the patience thing.

My main concern is whether Sabrina and Funny Face will even have special features. If not, I may just continue to wait. Breakfast at Tiffany's had a pretty solid group of special features (some new), so it's not like either of those other two should be without any if they ever release either movie here.

you do realize they are region free.
I mean if you want them that bad just order them up; they aren't expensive.

Does the UK release of Sabrina have the extras like the U.S. release or is it barebones?

It should be barebones like the other European editions. But that's the least. The fact is the European Paramounts are all in the wrong/less correct ratio (1.33) and DNRd. In short, the Warner is the one to own.
